First is so different in this drama, so mature and sweet and I love his acting here. Such a difference to the other shows he’s been in. Likewise, Ja is so lovely in this role too ❤️
I actually like this show because even tho it’s silly and has lots of plot points that seem too fast or don’t work, it has heart and the leads all show good chemistry.

I feel like we all watched different dramas when I read these comments!

It’s amazing..

This show is many things. It’s angst, yearning, expectation, fighting against expectation, a power struggle, angsty teenager hormone driven lust, true love, explosive, fearless, passionate, destructive and intense.

It’s also a love story between two young men who are a little different. But who love each other and would do anything for each other and who can’t live without each other.

It’s pretty beautiful!

Completely agree with you. The drama is framed so cleverly. The switch between the two perspectives is perfectly done.

Kiyoi is angry with Hira because he doesn’t stand up for himself. But Kiyoi doesn’t/can’t stand up for himself too at times so he’s pushing his feelings of anger at himself onto Hira. The times he protects or tries to protect Hira are shown clearly and it’s sad he can’t communicate it in words but…

They are both teenagers growing up and trying to fit into their roles in their micro society at school. They are just learning about love and sexual attraction and it’s so beautifully and painfully presented here.

It’s a drama I have watched many times and I still see more and more each time that develops my understanding.

Such an incredibly well made series. The editing and directing choices were very clear and strong. The lack of music in some scenes was really powerful. I loved the visuals - the colour palette and the use of repeated images was excellent. It’s such a high quality production.

I loved how the story was told through individual scenes that didn’t necessarily flow together and that time moved on. I’ve seen this done in some other dramas recently but not as well as this. The time jumps were clear and I really liked them.

I enjoyed the scenes where little was said. The visual said enough.

I liked how the characters emotions were embodied in every moment. How Ji Hyun didn’t always walk beside Jae Won - he wasn’t ready yet.

The beach scenes were all beautifully shot and visually stunning.

The music choices are amazing. Some of the songs have such perfect lyrics ♥️

Spoiler -Also the representation of mental health was incredibly important and powerfully presented. In therapy, the right answer isn’t always there. It’s about exploring feelings..
The scene where perhaps there was a death… oh my goodness.. the feelings! The depth of the emotions shown! The intensity! I loved that we were made to think perhaps… because we were experiencing JWs feelings alongside him ♥️
