I'm sorry, but when he revealed what he really looks like as a nine-tailed fox, I thought the CGI looked so stupid. It has to be the worst nine-tailed fox I have seen in an Asian tv drama, and I've seen a lot... other than that, the show was pretty good. I enjoyed it. Might even watch it again
I'm hoping the ending isn't like all the other typical merfolk dramas. This looks really good. Or do those ending only apply to mermaid/mortal pairings......?
It would have been nice if instead of draining Min Hyun dry to become human, Jun Ho could drink a certain amount of his blood each day or each week or something and in doing so he wouldn't die but continue to live. Though he'd still suffer from headaches and vision loss and all the other symptoms he gained as a consequence of killing a human. He just wouldn't lose his life. I think that would be a good compromise because at least they'd still be together. Maybe his symptoms would also lessen or go away over time or something...
Also on a side note: I'd hoped he wouldn't die, but when he did it wasn't completely unexpected.
I honestly felt that the ending to this show was complete bs. I personally think it was pretty clear that Ya Long and Ye Yin were meant to be together. That they loved each other. I don't think she loved Si Yin the way she loved Ya long. I think Si Yin was a selfish bastard. He created Ye Yin for Ya Long and then went and stole her from him. He couldn't leave them to happiness and in the end, neither got her and she disappeared from the world and ceased to exist from their past, present and future just to right their (mostly Si Yin's) wrong. Other than that, I loved this show. I've watched it a few times already.
ugh, why is it so hard to just tell him them truth? This is making me not want to watch. Is it that hard to say,…
they got "married" in the first few episodes because she thought she was dying. It was really more her doing things she wouldn't have gotten to do otherwise. Then when they got back home, she found out her family had lied. She then kept lying to him and he found out and decided to punish her for it by making her life difficult. I'm not quite sure what the episodes are though. There aren't really any time skips if I remember correctly. They did break up I believe but its another one of those shows where the male lead refuses to let the female lead go. Its a long show so they cover a lot of stuff. They are together then they break up they get back together and officially get married. They have a child together. It's very lengthy.
Honestly, this was a very good show, it was extremely tragic though, and has pretty much scarred me for life. I have wanted to rewatch this for a while, but there are too many deaths. The ending has left me with a deep impression and I want to cry every time I think of it. I recommend it though, don't let, the fact that you're told it's very sad, stop you from watching it. If you think you can handle it, then take the leap and watch it.

It's worth it in the end. Though I agree that it was frustrating when she chose not to tell him. It's a lengthy show, so if you are into skipping scenes then I would probably do that. If I remember correctly it got kinda repetitive with certain scenes, or that might have been love around. You should check that show out too, it has the same main leads.
I didn't quite get what happened after they kissed in ep 6. Did they both stopped being incubus and succubus?
I don't think he was an incubus. I think that was just in her dream. I believe that because she kissed him after she fell in love with him that it was different than when she just fed off of other guys. It was probably one of those things where true love turns the supernatural being into a mortal/human being. It looked like everything from when she was a succubus was erased. The show didn't really explain a lot of things in deeper detail.
