It seems to be that way. But the odd thing is, why would she resort to lengths of making sure Doo Rim ends up marrying Kang Joo when, from what was said, I think anyone as long as she's the first wife of the first son would be sacrificed. That is what's bothering me. Is there supposed to be a category? Something like the first true love of the first son of the family? Ah whatever. XD

From what I see both have had errors in handling their relationship. After bickering and fighting each other, both lost their logic and refused to see each other's efforts. They're not bad, it's more like they failed or refused to hear each other out and got blinded by angst and anger for each other. Then everything spiralled down for the marriage. The show did not fail to show this on the first 2 episodes. So yeah, both of them are to blame for the divorce.

I watched Queen In hyun's man, rooftop prince loved both of it, but Man from the stars definitely topped the charts.
It is because the two aforementioned dramas were really good as well with almost the same premise, an imminent doom of the relationship due to mystical forces. The approach on their conclusions, however, were polar opposites. QIM being a "happy ending" and RP having a "disappointing" one, us, the viewers, wanted YWCFTS to have an ending as satisfying as QIM and not to turn RP.

Rule of thumb for overused plot: look at the cast, then judge the first two episodes. If you're not hooked, drop :). Works like a charm.
