The identity of Ji Sung's father at the moment is not important, but would be appreciated if they give a bit of a background. But we're just speculating here. Jun Pyo, never really treated Ri Jin as his daughter, so I think it is safe to say that he wanted Ji Sung to take Ri Jin's place since he does not acknowledge Ri Jin as his own. This also somehow explains why Ji Sung's mom wants Ri Jin gone since she's a threat to her son's well-being.

She hates Ji Sung's character probably because Ji Sung wasn't really the son of Jun Pyo. Ri Jin being locked in the basement might stem from Jun Pyo's hate for her mother, probably transference. If what I speculate is true, then the real heir would be Ri Jin herself and Ji Sung's character being a real substitute for her.
