i don't usually comment on movies, but 3/4 of the movie was rather enjoyable, and the acting was as good as it would've gotten with the direction they went with the movie. if they were going to cram all the good parts from the anime/manga they should've fixed the pacing in some areas of the movie...and why did they go with killing the main character?? if they were going for an emotional affect they should have stuck with the ending from the anime; where they laid a trap for the killer instead of the MC dying. well other than the ending being a complete scramble the movie was enjoyable and the child actors were really good. Arimura Kasumi's character Airi could've have been built more because she did a good job with the vibe of the character, and the connection between the mother and Satoru's could've been worked on.
decided to watch this after a friend of mine repeatedly recommended it to me all day and i have to say that i loved the first episode and i can't wait for the next one
didn't expect to like this movie as much as i did. a bit slow on the start (it felt like an indie movie with the way it built up the stories) but the ending was bittersweet.
