I can't read anything in "dark mode", light colored text on a dark back ground hurts my eyes.  After a few words my sight goes blurry and takes a few moments to clear, depending on how long I managed to keep reading. It means I miss out on some posts and profiles that are all images with dark backgrounds. I know that most people prefer the other way around, so I am grateful that "light mode"  still exists for those who need it.
