Better than it deserves. ITSAY managed to be meaningful and more LGBT+ focused than BL focused and it was leagues better. I'm a gay guy, I like LGBT+ consideration, but this was a series ruined by its end.

OH anyone who likes this series, perfectly okay. I don't wanna knock anyone who had fun, I really loved this series at first too but yeah it really, REALLY devastated me at the end so I don't blame you for dropping it. I wish I could go back and stop myself from watching the last few eps, especially the last one haha!

Like if it was a 30 with a 40, I mean most people aren't gonna have an issue with that I think. And true, the actors being really close in age IRL definitely helps which is why I was interested in watching in the first place and you are right, if they actually had a 17 actor then that would hairlip a few folks. Your last point makes sense, I'm still considering whether to watch but your comment makes me more comfortable doing so, so thank you :)

I mean yeah, I'm more forgiving in real life but pretty judgmental sometimes in BL lol. I guess I set my standards a little high when it comes to fiction over reality. And I agree, if cheating/harassment/rape are apart of the story line but done well in a way that doesn't romanticize it, okay I can get that. Because he likes Vee haha! Nah I don't think he's outright an idiot, I just think he doesn't make the best decisions sometimes. I really liked this couple in the other series so I felt kinda disappointed with the dynamic in this one and how Vee basically does exactly what his GF did (and he did it first) but somehow only she is in the wrong. I would LOVE to see the actor who played Bas have his own BL, heck even a deeper dive into Bas' story like you mentioned in the other comment on IPYTM. I'd totally watch that! And so true, Bas looked great and seemed to have found his happiness in life - and that made him not getting Oh ultimately a little bit easier to accept for me but I will always root for the best boy! OH I might have worded that wrong, I said he's my favorite 2nd love interest, meaning he's my 1st favorite of 2nd love interests (second love interest being the guy that loses). I hope that makes sense haha!

Totally agree! I get what you mean about Teh, believe me I wanted to slap that boy a couple times. Bilkin's acting really makes the character more sympathetic than he probably should be at times but that's the great acting of Bilkin for you haha! OMG Bas and Q, that would have been perfect!!! I totally ghostship Bas and Q, and yes that circle of friends was the best!

Not really incest because no blood relation, I wouldn't care if it was, I don't see it as messed up IF and only IF its consensual which this one was, at least at parts, not. Two full blood bros can't even have kids together and inbreeding is the only negative thing that makes incest taboo to me because its not good for genetic diversity. Hell its the reason incest became taboo to begin with, a MEDICAL reason not just some lame social/cultural/religious reason. But two biological males can't get each other pregnant lol and as long as they are brothers or sisters or cousins, close in age (no power dynamic imbalance) and they are both consenting, then kewl. I wouldn't be against bro/sis or hetero cousins if they used protection but its still super risky and I'm gay so I'm not into het-couples anyways but that's my own bias.

I wouldn't even have a problem with full blood brothers, they can't have children together anyways. BL doesn't have the balls to do that but they have the balls for sexual harassment and rape lol. Consensual incest isn't a big deal to me, not something I'd personally do but who cares as long as its consensual which these two were not and that was the part that pissed me off personally.

Well those homophobic morons who think sex-same relationships are wrong shouldn't be watching BL.
