I was surprised to an action political thriller drama that has an almost 50/50 male to female main cast ❤️❤️❤️ then I realized the screenwriter and the director are both women ❤️

First, the plot is based on a British show!
Second, TV shows and movies need proactive drama! Including toxic subjects like infidelity, murder, fraud, domestic violence, work abuse, child abuse , drug abuse... Etc
This is a thriller, not some cheeky, funny, cutesy rom-com or some slice-of-life family drama!
Third, I think you're misunderstanding the word "glorify" because you're using it incorrectly! How is showing a toxic trait of a villain considered "glorifying"!! How else would the writer show the husband is a despicable character? Surly not by showing that he doesn't separate his recycling rubbish no?
Last but not least, please use your common sense! This is a drama! A fucking tv show! A work of fiction! Something that doesn't represent a whole country! Do you watch supernatural dramas and believe ghosts and time travel exist too?

Ohhh! The age gap! Listen! I always thought it was weird! Wasn't she a high school student! People say "oh you guys are hypocrite, you didn't complain about Hotel Del Luna" that's utterly stupid! Yes she was 999 years old but he was in his 20's beside , they looked and acted the same age! In Goblin, she was a fucking teenager and he looked and acted at least 20 years older than her! I didn't like it at all! The chemistry was meeeeh! I struggled to finish the drama but I really loved the second couple! I even watched a rom-com for them even though I dislike rom-coms!

I'm not sure if they hate women or what's the deal! I think to them, male characters are more interesting perhaps? Or maybe less complicated? Idk I remember reading about how one of the most popular screenwriters in Korea, the one who wrote Goblin, Secret Garden, Mr. Sunshine and recently The Glory, she said she doesn't know how to write female characters! Wtf! You're a female! How do you know how to write male characters something you never experience! I'm not sure if it's true or not! Especially because even though I didn't like most of her dramas (except for The Glory and Mr. Sunshine) I thought the female characters in her dramas are well written!

Honestly no wonder why he constantly gets casted as the slimy, repulsive, dispicable, villain in literally every drama and movie I've seen him in! Him and Lee Kyung Young! Always the traitor slimeballs! it's like producers are forced to cast them or something! I mean if I have to see them in the screen I rather see them in this light! The drama is procedural investigation drama, the pace is excellent not too fast not too slow, the cases are dark and creepy but not too depressing and weird, I think it's really good! There's some humor here and there but not too much! I enjoyed it a lot and I hope you will do! Don't hesitate!

Nah! There's plenty of good directors out there! As long as the brain (the screenwriter Kim Eun Hee) is still the same, the 3 leading actors are still the same, it will be fine!

It's 100% coming! It's on high demand plus the screenwriter is writing a second season for a 2016 drama (Signal) so basically after 10 years (I don't think it will air this year so 2026)
As for Kingdom, there was some talk about a special movie about the princes's character and past but it got cancelled because of COVID-19 I believe, so since the writer has no problem with making sequels, and the leading actor (Ju Ji Hoon) has no problem too, I believe it's coming! Maybe 2026 or 2027, not this year! But who knows

I love Shin Min Ah but she always take silly projects (except Chief of Staff and Lucifer) so honestly I lost hope for her long time ago, she can be with Lee Jong Suk Idc

Honestly I bet he had a very beautiful face to begin with but the perfectionism obsession ruined his face!
Anyway I think he mentioned before that he won't do any historical project after The Face Reader because he doesn't feel like it suits him (I interpreted it as he's agreeing with the majority thinking his face is too modern for historical drama) I'm surprised he changed his mind! I thought historical drama directors are pretty strict when choosing female leads "this one has too modern face aka too much plastic surgery, it won't work...etc" but I guess they know his fans will eat anything up!
