1. yes, it's happy ending (well bittersweet since he is going to go back to the past to his wife but leave his daughter and the other young detective, well I think they're gonna grow up with him so not so sad, it's a bit confusing and doesn't make much sense but very enjoyable 2. yes there's some sweet light romance, but not the main focus in the story
