I just finished episode 5 and I'm really loving it so far. It's definitely not easy to stomach. Honestly, the first story was really hard to watch, but I'm glad I stayed for it's conclusion. I saw people online calling it a "woke" drama if you know what I mean, but I honestly think that this show conveys a really important message and as someone who's currently struggling a lot in life, this drama really gives me a lot of hope.
The first half of this drama is simply amazing and everything I wished from a drama of this genre, it became really lackluster with weirdly executed plot points towards the end though and I only watched the last two episodes (or four, depends on how you count) because I don't like dropping dramas. [Well, that's actually a lie because I also thought the cast was great, I really enjoyed the main couples chemistry and the drama itself is just really pretty to look at (whether it's the characters or the nice set)] Still gave the drama an 8 though, since the first half was just THAT good.
Oh god, this drama is really bad. It feels like a really long music video: You get some pretty pictures with dramatic music and that's about it. There's no development whatsoever, the characters have no consistency, the story is full of plot holes and logical errors and the romance appears out of nowhere. The PPL in this drama is also really bad and annoying, eypecially in ep 14 I think? I felt like I was watching a 2 minute long TV ad.
The only thing I kind of enjoyed was Choi Yoo Jin, the only character with some depth. She was the real main character in this drama to be honest, even if she's the 'bad girl' here.
You can watch this drama if you like (like, really really really like) the cast (which did quite a good job), but I wouldn't recommend this drama otherwise. It's not worth it, neither the romance nor the action scenes nor the political stuff.
