Title Be My Angel
Things about Be My Angel that I loved after watching 6 episodes:

✅ Diverse representation: Aside from having a butch and femme as leads, BMA also has a trans character, played by a transwoman, and a gay character.
✅ No homophobic parents/grandparents
✅ Neither Jane nor Z questions or fears their attraction to another woman. It was never an issue for them or the people around them, even Jane's traditional family.
✅ No sexual assault/violence/non-consensual acts/drunken intimacy
✅ No exes or a third party added to make someone jealous
✅ No top/bottom roles: Jane and Z take turns leading depending on the situation, and there are no expectations to act a certain way just because a character is more masculine or feminine.
✅ Shows attraction beyond physical intimacy. BMA didn't show lots of kissing earlier. However, not being physically intimate doesn't mean there's no attraction, as it can exist outside the bedroom, too. We see that build up in early eps through eye flirting, teasing, accidental kisses, then several consensual kisses in EP6.
✅ Cute, colorful, and joyful: With how heavy the headlines are and how difficult life is, it's nice to have a show that provides an escape to a cute and colorful world where characters show us moments of everyday sapphic joy.
✅ Unpredictable storyline: It's hard to predict the ending, which makes you want to keep watching every week.
✅ Created by and stars LGBTQIAN+ people: Prod team is led by and composed of members of the community. Also stars Bambam, an openly butch actress, and the only butch actress in a lead role in Thai GL this year. This is an LGBTQIAN+ production through and through. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Be My Angel may be different from what we've seen so far and what's currently airing, but that also means it offers something unique. If these themes resonate with you, please check out BMA. 🫶🏼

If you prefer bingeing, more than half the eps are out on IQIYI, so it's a great time to start. 🪽

i haven't watched this yet, it looks so cute! but can someone plz clarify: is Z non-binary? i don't want to misgender…
Hiya! Z is butch. The director and her wife (BMA executive producer) are a butchfemme couple, so they wanted to portray this in the show. They mentioned it in the documentary episode. :)
