whats the connection between this and the variety show?
i havent seen it but if it's a variety show, i imagine it's just the cast hanging out and doing stuff together that's not related to the filming? (unless we get some behind teh scenes and story spoilers or so) but i assume it'd be reality and them being themselves rather than the characters, there are a couple vids on yt tho if you wanna skim that to see the vibe
it's fun for an adaptation, tho why do they keep calling the figures 'garage kits', aren't garage kits specifically the unpainted/gray scale paint it yourself figures rather than finished stuff like nendos/gsc? but not as complex as like gundam/gunpla where you also have to attach the parts itself too lol (nice we get to see hori actually crossdress tho haha)
The manga sure is interesting, but 69 episodes? is that accurate? (did they like make each ep 5 minutes or so instead of like 10+ 30 min episodes?) I hope someone can translate it (tho idk if it's harder b/c it's based on some app service?)
Of course, if a drama cannot pass censorship, cutting losses and releasing the early parts with an early wrap…
Considering it's based on an animanga, unless they got the rights/IP for dirt cheap, I'd expect they'd know what they're getting into, content wise to where they'd know if they'd have to change/censor it for chinese audience/doing slightly diff things to be more related to the culture, tho other than the 'crossdressing' (which is done in more of a comic relief way) and Kashima having "fangirls" i don't think there'd anything that'd China would get upset over
"a professional shoujo manhua artist. But as a science student, he actually lacks a certain knowledge of shoujo…
I'd reccommend watching the anime too if not reading the manga, it is based on a Japanese series, and canonically he hasn't had his first love so the premise is that he's 'good at art and portraying romantic scenes despite having no experience himself' (Tho a comedy aspect of it is his editor having to 'reign' him in from making the storyline too 'weird' lol) There isn't a mention of science in the original, i assume unless chinese is diff or they're aging them up to be 'college aged', they're all high schoolers so there wouldn't be a 'major' or anything
ugh this drama has been archived for so long. if they keep pushing it back i'm afraid this drama quality will…
idk about the vid/acting quality, but the manga it's based on has been going around for ten years, so other than them doing major changes, i think some of the jokes/chara dynamics would still be outdated /they're basically a satire of the shoujo manga to begin with
it has "adult romance" tag what its mean "emotionally matured romance" or "physically matured romance" ?
Probably emotional, the manga did have a bit of fanservice/implied sex but nothing too over the top other than chihiro ordering a cow print bikini lol, not sure if they'd have that in the live action tho
Dunno how much of the story the series will cover, but the manga it's based on is pretty wholesome and is going over 100 chapters, other than some small conflicts now and then, i doubt it'd hint towards any sorta a divorce, despite their marriage being so untraditional/sudden by usual Japanese marriage hunting standards
I don't know man... this drama would've felt that less creepy for me if the younger character was, at the very…
tbf it was based on a bl manga, and a lot of those have some 'questionable' elements (tho i imagine most don't get popular enough to get live actions/anime adaptations), tho there's prolly some other out there that are 'wholesome' and closer together in age versus something with like a teen and uni student
Is there a way to get the subs from anywhere but drama-otaku?
well, even tho sites like DO is user-locked so their stuff doesn't get stolen, most groups wouldn't do a series when someone else announces it (unless it's an individual or another language) so it's pretty unlikely unless it gets officially licensed on a streaming site like netflix, otherwise i'd suggest reading the manga from the start and comparing it b/c i don't think the plot/dialogue would be changed too much other than some special extra stuff, or asking someone you know that'd take requests but i imagine that'd also be time consuming depending on how busy they are with other projects

lol i'll try tho i don't think i have a strong/active enough social media presence to qualify (my twitter account's pretty old but it's more retweeting art these days lol, though hopefully there'll be an anime too lol)
seems like an interesting mystery. i imagine it'd be a nightmare as a delivery person if a specific place you went to had disappearing residents, or on the flip side of of ppl acting paranoid and suddenly missing after a new 'mysterious' creepy delivery driver takes over your route lol
I just found my comment that was buried and posted 3 years ago🌚 thats how long ive waited.
the manga's still going on at least, you can enjoy some new chapters , since idk how far the drama will get into it but Kashima has a pretty funny 'fangirl' little sister that's only in the manga versus anime
