Something a little ominous from Ep.5 I can’t stop thinking about is how Eun Ho asked the therapist if Hyeri actually seemed happy and we don’t get to see the therapists answer but later on in the episode when she’s saying that really emotionally charged goodbye to Hyun Oh she tells him she going to stay healthy no matter what and be happy.
It made me think—could Eun Ho do something really dangerous and concede their body to Hyeri for the sake of their happiness? 🤔
Hyun Oh be like doing A to Z for Eun Ho straight from doing groceries, cooking, feeding, sweeping, washing dishes,…
I get that he's showing up for her by being physically there, but to essentially tell someone "The only times that we can be together are when you are sick and need to be taken care of" is so toxic. She clearly wants a future with marriage and a long term relationship, but he's not even giving her the chance to see the ugly parts of himself to make that a reality for both of them.
He cheapens his own kind actions by turning around and throwing in her face that its all temporary or conditional. It feels borderline manipulative/emotionally abusive---the way he's so loving one second and then cold and distant the next.
The more they interact, the more I think of him as simply a loose thread for Eun Ho.
I respect your opinion tho, I can see why some people really like him as ML. This is just my personal take away and I mean no offense :D
This drama is just really interesting to watch and I'm so curious how it will end: Is it Ju Yeon? Hyun Oh? No one?
I wish I waited to the end to binge watch this show 😣😣😣 I’m so curious about how it’s all gonna unfoldddddd…
My bets are on Ju Yeon and Eun Ho or no one at all and she just finds independent happiness. Hyun Oh just seemed like a chapter that needed closing for Eun Ho. She seemed resolute with that last "Goodbye."
HO loves Eun ho, he lacks communication, probably scared that she wont be able to handle the harder part of his…
Honestly this episode has got me thinking the same thing. Maybe Ju Eun Ho will end up with no one. Because Hyun Oh just seems like more baggage at this point and I can't at all tell how Ju Yeon is going to take the news that Hyeri is only a fractured part of Eun Ho. Plus that elevator scene with Hye Yeon--will they hook up? I hope not, because I feel like Eun ho/Hyeri really can't stand to handle more messiness/drama in their already unusual life.
I think this is either going to go one of two ways for Ju Yeon.
1.) He will find out about Eun Ho's split personality (realize that Hyeri & and Eun Ho are one person) and begin getting to know both of them until they finally become one again. I think it's possible for him to be the support that Eun Ho needs and for him to fall in love with all the parts of her.
Why? - The more Eun Ho and Hyun Oh interact, the more sure I become that he is supposed to represent the old Eun Ho or her past in general. The inability to move on, the toxic back and forth, the committal averse-ness. Hyun Oh isn't giving me any endgame vibes nor is he presenting any traits that would make him a stable partner in the long run.
- Ju Yeon and Eun Ho, seem to share similar traumas and have approached their grief in much of the same way too. They each lost a sibling, neither seems to have much or any family, they both also are pursuing the dreams of their lost siblings, and their characters both seem like they lack something in their lives (support, love, human connection, etc.).
- This drama is listed as a romance, the number one thing ALL romances must have is a happy ending. And while I'm all for a second-chance-romance this dramas isn't giving that energy. Episode 5, just confirmed for me that, Hyun Oh is a lingering love line that needed closure and nothing more.
OR
2.) Ju Yeon finds out that Hyeri, essentially doesn't exists and begins to spiral only to find the support and love he wanted with Hyeri, in Hye Yeon. He will part amicably from Ju Eun Ho and that will be the end for them.
Why do I think option is less likely, but still possible?
- While I don't dislike the idea of Hye Yoon and Ju Yeon being together, in fact I think it would be a cute pairing, I just don't see it for them. Their dynamic reminds me a lot of Yoo Ji Hyuk and Yoo Hui Yeon's relationship in 'Marry My Husband,' --where these two characters were cousins. They have a nice "Oppa-Dongsaeng" relationship, but so far I haven't seen anything that really builds on the idea of a romantic relationship between them.
- Towards the end of Ep.5, Hye Yoon invites someone into her hotel room and says she called him up so he could "touch" her. It came across as a hook-up/booty call (which lol good for her, I'm all for sex positivity) but it gave me the impression that she wasn't that serious about her crush of Ju Yeon or maybe she gave it up because Hyeri already told her they were dating. ( I don't think, it was Ju Yeon, the voice and body were too different---I did oddly think it might be Hyun Oh tho??? I can't explain why...)
- Despite my former two points, I think its entirely possible for Ju Yeon to start growing affection for Hye Yeon, if he starts relying on her and opening up to her because of the internal turmoil he might be facing with the revelation of Hyeri's true identity. Since Ju Eun Ho and Kang Ju Yeon haven't formally met, its hard to tell if there is any spark between them (without the Hyeri personality). I think it could turn out that they are too similar (they are each kinda sad and serious) and that there is no future in a relationship between them.
-I think option 2 might really be in the cards, if Ju Yeon has a one night stand with Hye Yeon--like that elevator scene seems to suggest. I hope he doesn't though because then everything will be messy.
---------
Either way, I'm excited to see what happens next and I really want for Ju Eun Ho to finally meet Kang Ju Yeon, so that I can confirm if there could be anything romantic between them.
Controversy aside, I still don't like the character of the "ML." He just comes across as such a toxic ex-boyfriend. They way he broke up with Ju Eun Ho, was really cruel--8 YEARS together and the most he can say is "Goodbye," and "I'm never getting married."
Ju Eun Ho, had every right to be as angry as she was. It's clear that marriage is something that she wants in a relationship--he should have broken up with her much MUCH earlier if he was that firm in his stance of never getting married. (I don't care if he actually did want to get married, but thought that JEH wasn't suited for taking care of the grandmas---to me it cheapened the value of their relationship that he didn't even let her decided for herself whether she was suited for it or not)
I'm sorry, but I can't support their relationship when it seems like Hyun Oh just likes to string Eun Ho along. Its not healthy and I think he knows that if he's nice to her a little she easily falls back into love with him. It feels manipulative--just like that awful break up and that kiss in the elevator.
AND let's not forget his whole, "Be sick--From time to time, Ju Eun Ho." I think that she is not going to end up with Hyun Oh, because he represents a part of the past that has caused her to develop a split personality and overall be in a bad mental state. (Also who says that to a person? "Get sick like this, sometimes." I get that is was likely metaphorical, but still its a terrible thing to ask of someone. So they can only be together when she needs someone to take care of her? TOXIC)
He's like a dead limb, holding her back. He's a bad habit that she needed to kick to get back on the path to getting better. I think episode five is a huge turning point for Ju Eun Ho.
They need to get married NOW BYEEEE💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 Jk only if they want to 🥰😭🫶 this was so cute. Plus we got bonus scene 🎬 Sang Yi singing the ost 😍
I got chills when Eun Ho read the note Hyeri left her—that was completely unnerving. While I’m still not sure who the “real” personality is, for Hyeri to ask Eunho to just give her their body even if Eunho might be the original owner had me shocked 💀💀💀—like girl y’all need to fix this problem together not try and eliminate each other 😰
Yea ml took advantage of eunho. I skipped the elevator scene.. that was so unnecessary and crazy. She just had…
Right??? I’m getting real sick of his constant interference in JEH’s life.
I got the sense that he wants to feel “needed” by her. He honestly feels like such a toxic ex-boyfriend. He’s constantly trying to play “hero” in her life only to turn around and, berate and insult her.
Why doesn’t he just leave her alone?? I don’t get it. She also never goes to him for anything it’s always HIM putting himself in her path 🙄 he’s so damn annoying
I’m still so confused about her identity—I feel like it’s not as simple as Ju Eun Ho taking on the personality of her presumably missing younger sister.
I think Hyeri and Ju Yeon can sometimes be strange, but I enjoy their moments a billions times more than when we’re watching Eun Ho’s perspective.
I think the real her is somewhere between Ju Eun Ho and Ju Hyeri—because as individual personalities they seem like two completely different extremes; one is an overly-simple, straightforward, happy-go-lucky person and the other is an overly closed off, detached, and mostly expressionless person.
I have never disliked a ML more in my life, than I do, Jung Hyeon Oh. She does not look or behave at all happy when she is around him.
Also it felt incredibly wrong for him to kiss Ju Eun Ho, when she was in such a vulnerable state.
Can we also talk about how JHO looked HAPPY?!?! When JEH was breaking down. I’m sorry, but it’s giving toxic, co-dependency. I got the sense that he wants to be “needed” by her—and it’s giving me the ick.
I’m gonna need the Min Jun, “brother-in-law” and “wedding” stuff to be some kind of misunderstanding bc no wayyyyyyy they meet again right as she’s in the middle of that. Plzzzz I beg don’t let her repeat her dad’s story — that would just be cruel 😭🙏😭🙏😭🙏
It made me think—could Eun Ho do something really dangerous and concede their body to Hyeri for the sake of their happiness? 🤔
And you’re so right her visitor couldn’t have been either I guess. That just leaves me curious who it was cuz they didn’t show his face 🔍🧐
