So in the family photo in ep10, guessing the father in the photo is Nian Qin's Dad. Does that mean that Xiao Lu is Nian Qin's half-sister or step-sister? How about Xiao Lu's sister, is that Nian Qin's full sister? He mentioned to Wu Yan before that Xiao Lu is "his relative's sister"?

They start officially dating in ep 18. He learns about her feelings at the end of 16/beginning of 17, she learns about his feelings in 18.

Haven't watched Ancient Love Poetry yet, so cannot comment on that. Falling Into Your Smile is quite different in my opinion, as the gaming is a very significant portion of show and we see the gradual growth of Si Cheng and Tong Yao from a bickering to a romantic relationship, while the ZGDX team gels in solidarity. There really wasn't much in the way of a love triangle there, also Si Cheng and Tong Yao are both quite self-aware in terms of their own feelings for the other, with Si Cheng making the first move. I really enjoyed their bickering interactions in particular.

Unforgettable Love has a significant focus on family and Xiao Bao in particular. The ML goes from choosing a female partner solely based on Xiao Bao, slowly towards appreciating the FL for the person that she is. He is awkward in expressing himself emotionally, always speaking from the language of transactions and contracts, even when talking about their relationship. The two love triangles (QY/YY/NF and QY/YY/LW) are much more prominent and tropey in this show, but not annoyingly so.

Both shows are good in my opinion, but very different from one another - if I had to choose, I'd say I enjoyed FIYS more overall.

Others have compared this show to Perfect and Casual, which is probably a closer comparison, though there the relationship glue involves Si Nian's grandfather as opposed to Xiao Bao here.

Are you asking whether the ML/FL are in the hospital at the beginning of ep 18? At the end of 17, the FL goes back to the creek to catch fish for Xiao Bao and encounters two snakes, she is unconscious when the ML finds her. At the beginning of 18, the doctor assures ML that the snakes were not poisonous and believes the FL fainted from fear.

Later in ep 18 when Wen Gu shows the ML a new photo, the ML says the resemblance to the woman in the drawing is around 80%. Wen Gu feels this woman may be the woman in ML's dreams, wonders what she is like in real life. ML says he doesn't know why, but he now has an unfamiliar (陌生, like looking at a stranger) feeling when he looks at the photo. He says he no longer needs to find the woman in the drawing - before he felt like he should find her, that she enabled him to keep on going. Now however, his energy for going on is no longer here (the drawing woman), but somewhere else (hints at FL).

He hears from the accidental recording at the end of ep 16, that she likes him. In ep 18, he asks her to sign a new contract with him, one of a proper dating relationship, which can be extended indefinitely, so they are basically together at this point. She won’t sign the new contract until he expresses his feelings. He is not able to get out the words ‘I like you’ however.

He’s vocal by ep 17/18, early in ep 18, he asks Yi Yue ‘mommy come ride in daddy’s car’.

Ning Fang asks if Qiao Yan likes her, says he knows about their contract relationship. Asks Qiao Yan to be honest and direct with Yi Yue if he likes her. He also admits to his own feelings for her. Blah blah blah.

No, not yet. The aunt however does realize that Yi Yue was the one who rescued Xiao Bao in the accident, as she heard the lullaby through the Qiao Yan’s cell phone at the time of the accident.

Ep 12

So far as of ep 13, it does not sound like Lin Wei and Qian Yan were ever together. And she is his aunt, not mother.

In Ep 12/13, Yi Yue learns that at the time of the accident 5 years prior, Qian Yan was also in an accident trying to get to the scene. Afterwards, while recovering physically, he also had to shoulder the company responsibilities that passed to him from his older brother (who died). During this time period, the Lin family (Lin Wei is the daughter of the family) helped out the He family significantly in the business realm, helping to keep the He business afloat.

Qian Yan tells Yi Yue that he and Lin Wei have known each other since they were kids. Yi Yue asks him if they were childhood sweethearts with an arranged marriage, to which Qian Yan doesn't actually confirm or deny.

Sure thing. The older brother actually tells the younger brother ML at one point, that he’s willing to give up everything for the younger brother except love. Also I think the reason the older brother befriends Pei Xui Zhe is to try to convince him to give up on Si Ya and to move on. On the park thing, he wasn’t trying to kidnap Yue Yue per se, I think he genuinely believed she was Si Ya. It was only once in the car that he realized she wasn’t Si Ya. The reason Yue Yue thought the older brother was Wen Jin Chen is because he asks her why she left the house, which is consistent with the ML telling her (with the power off) to stay in the house.

The older brother is an illegitimate child, that’s why the grandfather favors the younger brother (ML). The older twin sister Si Ya is known for being an expert in investment business, which is why the grandfather wanted to marry her into the family with the younger brother (ML). The older brother tried to change the grandfather’s mind, but failed, that’s why he concocted the plan of hiding Si Ya to prevent the wedding from happening, then arranging for the ML’s ex-girlfriend to return to sabotage the younger brother’s business in order to prove to the grandfather that he (older brother) was stronger in business.

Didn’t seem like he knew. She was ready to confess her identity around episode 15 or so, after the ML won over the ML’s brother in the business space, but the ML’s ex-girlfriend sabotaged things by giving a photo of the real Si Ya with Wen Liang Ye hugging. This made the ML think that Yue Yue FL was with the brother all along, and they broke up for 2 episodes, as he wouldn’t give her the chance to really explain.

That’s correct. Their relationship is on solid ground at that point. He faces the fact that his coverup of his own identity had an effect on her hiding her identity longer than she perhaps intended.

By ep 20, real Si Ya still has not come back, but she has spoken with her sister Yue Yue (FL) by cell phone a few times. Yue Yue (FL) finally revealed the truth when ML brought her to apply for the marriage certificate using Si Ya's household registry, and she did not want to do it using Si Ya's name. Yue Yue (FL) and ML are together for real at this point, even after he learns the truth.

Short background and recap:

Wen Jin Chen (ML) and Yuan Si Ya (twin sister of FL) are arranged to be married by their families. Wen Jin Chen for the sake of the family business, and Yuan Si Ya as agreed upon condition for the sale of her father's business to the Wen family. Si Ya goes missing however, so her father arranges for her twin sister Yue Yue (FL) to pretend to be Si Ya in the meantime.

The groom is absent from the wedding, and in anger, Yue Yue (pretending to be Si Ya) runs away, stealing the car of the groom who had actually just arrived late to the wedding (and is sitting in the back seat of the now stolen car). Jin Chen, enchanted by Yue Yue, hides his identity and starts to pursue Yue Yue (who he thinks is Si Ya). Yue Yue, unable to find Si Ya, tries to figure out how to break the engagement.

The older brother, Wen Liang Yue, of the groom and ML had returned to the country. As he and the real Yuan Si Ya are in love, he had arranged for Yuan Si Ya to go into hiding to prevent the arranged marriage from going through to his younger brother.
