Rewatching this drama but I really feel like the writers just took all the instances that happen in the K-Entertainment…
I don't know how many times I rewatched this. True to say the character arc was not focused in the drama, but to me all the small plots and side characters combined delivered performance to fill the void. Though these scenes are fictional and I don't think any company in Korea is such a diva in itself but man its a drama not reality. Let's enjoy it as a drama only.....

Well that was how things were back then.... Because kids with filial piety were adorned back then in Asian society. Reputation was everything for a person. Since the mistake is with his own family he felt more responsible to voice down protests.
In this story so far, I think FL mother was not as bad as comments state... In a society back then of Asia, male dominant, no one stood up with women not even their own family.... It's so common to see daughters as outsiders in their own family let alone daughter-in-laws. She was supressed from choosing to fight. So all she did was show her anger within the family of 4. When she cannot even fight for herself(as mentioned she wanted only one child), she felt that bei yu was at fault for miscarriage because pre-marital sex was a big thing back then. Even though she tried to fight for her... There was no way as society also will blame girls in this matter not boys back then.
I just discovered this one. Bored to hell. When I read description I seriously thought there was no FL. And am caught off guard that there is even romance in this............
Its so frustrating to see that FL's friend did not even speak when people were asking her to resign. FL's friend keeping relation troubles to herself without telling them to FL is also not good.
