In general BL shows are big popularity boosts for actors. Happened with Machida Keita and Akaso Eiji from Cherry Magic (Japanese BL) as well. It just lets them gain a much bigger audience and a much more international one too

I was disappointed when the original mini-series didn't show the manga-ending. Now I have seen the full ending and tears have rolled. I'm happy with it.
