Actually its a really good show and I hope with the longer release-time it's gonna pick up popularity. I think if you watch the trailer you'll see that there's a lot going on and the stakes are high.

How high is Yu Si Feng from Love and Redemption on that simp-list?

It feels like the drama is kinda rounding off with having seen previews of ep 29-30 but there's still like 8 episodes to go. Really curious what the last part is going to be like because it seems enemies pop up everywhere in this show so who is next.

I can't find a summary but essentially some family is keeping one of their sons imprisoned as a statue-maker and pretending the other brother made the statues.

Then some maffia guy confronts the statue-maker guy and they meet multiple times and seem to like each other.

So the summary about the pension having debts is correct. There's 4 guys working at the pension together and 1 of them inherited the pension.

They have some moments like 2 guys sleep essentially next to each other all the time, one of them always wears a squirrel-suit as PJ's (see MDL cover-photo).
They also have cameras everywhere which are used to find out the suspicious stuff happening in the pension with client-data being stolen.
The guys also hug and one time one falls into the arms of another. They also undress often for taking baths.

In the end; a tv-report about their heart-themed lunch seems to save the pension somehow.
For BL fans: As far as I could tell, no kiss.

Since this is rare and I finally got to see it thanks to a friend, I'll describe the story for future interested people. It had this 2010s nostalgia-charm to the story for sure even though it was a bit vague.

It's not 100% a mirrored version of a typical patriarchal household. Because the Rong household does have that saying about respecting men (until they betray them I guess, in that case everything goes).

I never expected to be jumpscared by a grandma suddenly opening her eyes and staring menacingly but here we are.

''Story of Yanxi Palace'', vibe-wise you will notice a lot of similarities even though it's a different setting.

I personally trust this show because screenwriter Zhou Mo did Story of Yanxi Palace and from very early on I felt the same vibes of that show in this show. The general sense of loss of freedom for those involved too deep, the gradual unveilings of mysteries, the dangers lurking around the corners and the character depths are all there.
