We got back to 9.2 here ^^ So all is good again in the Cherry Magic fandom.
I'm sorry to hear that so many were victim of this though.

Rumors are that its for episode 10 but yeah I highly doubt we will have to wait much longer. If not ep 10 then I guess just ep 11 or 12.

I wasn't sure what you meant but yeah coffee brand sounded more logical xD it did sound funny to give such a gift though.

Yeah Kurosawa is bound to learn about it, not sure what timepoint the drama writers will pick though. I'm sure they will tease it in a preview when they do wanna show it in a next episode though.

Yeah you can theorize about a lot with this show. Its one of the things that makes it very fun to watch ^^

I personally think the asexual/aromantic plotline for Adachi could be really great and would be awesome to see even more ace representation. I don't think they're gonna do it though. Because they'll have to fit that development in episodes 11 and 12 from what we know (episodes 9 and 10 are already mapped out) and I'm not sure they can do that. I would love to see it though but there's a pretty low chance of it happening. Also yes Fujisaki is definitely a character to be admired, she's amazing.

I personally also have ideas about the ending but until episode 10 happens and we get the preview for ep 11 its difficult to say anything with certainty. Because I expect episode 10 to be an important episode where we will get to see Adachis character develop or consider things more.

I also still need to know if the bike-scene from episode 1 is related to episode 10 or not. Because I highly suspect the ending song depicts this episode, thanks to the ferriswheel and the synopsis of ep 10 being an amusementpark date. This is important information cause the clothing of bike-Adachi and Ending song-Adachi is the same. I think this can be confirmed as soon as the episode 10 preview hits this thursday.

Regarding the detail you last mentioned, Kurosawas desk isn't shown in episode 8 so you probably meant episode 7. In episode 7 it shows up on Kurosawas desk but since this is a flashback (going back quite a lot of time) it would be farfetched to assume this is the same coffee he hands to Adachi in episode 1. It would be funny though but I think the coffee would've hit its expiration date. If you meant the same type of coffee though then yes it is.

But yes according to what we know, all the things Kurosawa listed will happen. Every episode he gets one more of them. So that would mean in episode 11 those things run out. I wonder what will happen at that point?

Oh I agree that its nothing personal against Cherry Magic, just wanted to give my opinion on some of the criticisms I've seen. I think its the algorithm too, its just frustrating not being able to do anything about it.

Rating is down to 9.1 now. What are people disliking about the show??? I've seen like two points brought up.
1. Not liking the second couple.
Give them some more time. Minato has barely had any dialogue and they haven't even started any relationship yet.
2. Not liking the lack of passion.
Welcome to Japanese BL. The focus is gonna be on their choice for love, not on passionate lovemaking. Its not gonna be Tharntype or MyDay and its okay to have something different once in a while.

A recent Japanese BL became very succesfull without even having more than a hug for the male leads. So yes it is possible but since this series is so similar to OL (a wellknown one among Japanese BL fans) it will likely follow the same formula and so a kiss is to be expected. Anyway, rumors have said the first one might be in episode 10.

If Adachi does ever start showing that sexual interest, passion and confidence it will be at a very late stage of the show. I feel like he just enjoys the simple happiness. The original OL showed its main character developping passion in literally the last 10 seconds of the show. So it could very well be a last minute call thing again and I personally don't mind that.

Of course they could throw things around anytime and give Adachi a sudden unexpected boost in confidence. Yes Adachi might even be the one initiating the first kiss which would be great. I think he'd still be the shy afterwards though, as every little step Adachi makes is a big one for him. For J-BL to go further in showing sexuality than just a kiss would be something completely new and not something I expect to see here.

I actually just turn the sound off during that scene and block the subtitles with my hand. Its pretty awkward stuff to see, it'd be fun if someone did do a video edit like that

Yes the subject is first brought up to Adachi by his rude co-worker who tries to coach him into getting in bed with someone. After he gains magic he does consider it once but its not like a major goal of his life to lose his magic. Otherwise we would see his character work towards it more pro-actively, he just adapts to circumstance.

Losing his virginity is not the goal of this series. It's Adachi gaining the confidence to believe in himself and to fight for what he wants.

I used the Pinoy/Thai example because in those series there is often a heavy focus on the sexual relations. I feel like a lot of people from that BL background who watch this as their first Japanese BL will be expecting something different than the actual series intends to deliver. I have watched Thai and Pinoy Bls myself too so I do know the difference between those kinds of series and this one.

Don't worry about a kiss, they'll do that but they likely won't do a bedscene. I am just informing you cause I feel like some people may be planning to give a lower rating based on their perceived lack of intimacy in the series. Unfairly comparing a Japanese BLs standards to a Thai/Pinoy BLs standards while these types of series intend to deliver different experiences.

It just seems like a Japanese Twitter user sharing their view. Not something to be worried about in my opinion. While yes theres technically always a chance they'll skip out on a kiss it'd be a bit weird not to do it when most romance-focussed BLs do at least 1.

I love his acting in CM. I made him my profile picture for a reason. Akaso has done great and really got into the character. I've heard he struggled with starting acting later than others, hoping that this popularity boost is gonna be helpful for him!
