Well, this is fine but extremely generic.Nothing sustained my interest. Lacks personality. One of many similar stories out there, a filler material drama for in between broadcasts of other dramas. Cute cast, nice visual quality, light story with some "sad pasts" thrown in. In short: very standard TvN stuff and forgettable. Must the lovely Han Jae Suk always be a second lead?

Amazing imagery. Like reviews said, it was like a studio ghibli movie come to life. Very imaginative take on an anti-war film. I loved it. But yes the western actors could have been a little better.

The idea was great but I found it lacking heart. I am blacklisting Kitagawa forever, she's an annoying actress. I dislike her whenever I see her, though I tried to give her chances but I just can't stand her, she's offputting. Too bad about the rest. The ending was so nice but overall just didn't work put for me as a drama, despite the references to classic films, an intended "classy" feel and overall polished visual quality. I loved the necklace and what it meant, especially in the end but it's just that this wasn't heartfelt at all. .

I prefer 1994 because characters are better presented overall and some of them are quite a bit more emotionally engaging for me (I mean Thrash whom I adore).

But this one is also quite nice. I liked the relationship between the brothers and I liked them both equally, it was a strong bond. I liked the glimpses into parents past- the parents are the best, regardless of which series I prefer. they are absolutely lovely, so steadfast and supportive of each other. Here I also really liked YooJung and HakChan and also.. Kang Jun Hee was really sweet.

I liked this but I have some objections about Shi Won. There were times she acted stupid and said and done some mean things. She couldn't be trusted at all and moreover she pouted too much. Stupid girl. I am just glad the brothers had such a great bond. I love them!

Ah JoongSang and Yujin give off very nice vibes. I love them together. BaeYongJun is adorable. Those two are my kind of a couple, they fit together and well very engaging to watch, it doesn't happen all that often for me. Moreover, the lead guy character is just a lovely, likeable character. The ending was sweet all in all and music fit the sentimental mood very well. But everything else aside from the main couple is not really so great, the second leads are awful and towards the end you have to have a high patience level to accept all the twists and angst.

Frustratingly weepy. Didn't like the twists. But Go Soo was great.

Prefer the anime. The movie tried too hard and ended up being too cheesy, unlike the anime which was fun. But the movie was well cast. Koike was lovely as Otani.

Catchy even after so many years. Hiroshi is excellent as always and this original is better than Korean remake, though God of Study was okay.

This drama combines the best traditions of Japanese dramas: comedy, detective/investigative and family all in one. I thought this was a successful hybrid. I enjoyed the father-son banter a lot. The two were great together and also had very good emotional timing together, as someone says-and I absolutely loved them. Very fun drama.

Too bad it was never subbed. Choi Su Jong is a real actor and I'm sure this is a great drama...I still keep hoping, though.
