I think it's absolutley wonderful that you gave the ending that sort of twist but nothing in the writing supports your theory from a writers stand point. However, I love your theory and i would have loved this drama if they had implemented that instead of the absolute garbage they released.
I think this has a somehow open ending, since maybe it was the FL`s imagination, which makes the ending much more…
I was looking for every clue while watching this to prove he didnt "come back from the dead" but sadly, he did. You can tell with the writing.
1. They gave the viewers a reason why he didnt show up for 5 years and had to play dead. 2. They made him prove it wasnt her imagination, twice. 3. They had no scene after the reunion that would indicate him still being dead. 4. They used the "if you didnt see him die its not a confirmed kill" card.
Following script writing rules, the dream theory isnt being supported.
Repetitive and unjustified drama. Horrible dialogue. Unconvincing motivations for characters actions and finally: the most disgusting ending I've seen in a long time... wish I could unsee this.
I respect your opinion. But please note that professionals with much more experience than yourself thought otherwise:…
As you can see, I wasn't commenting on the thread, I was responding to your comment and yours only.
You were being condescending towards someone with an opinion different than yours because you value a paid jury more than an unpaid consumer.
I was advising you to value unpaid opinions, instead, as they are more genuine and less corrupt. But if you enjoyed the drama then your opinion is just as respectable. I also mentioned that although the drama won a lot of prices I don't hold any value to it and that most were won for best acting which has nothing to do with the quality of the drama.
You replied with a list of awards that the writers won.
I asked you what your point was as I already stated that the awards don't mean anything and you said you were proving me wrong for saying most awards were for acting.
I replied back to prove that I was indeed right.
I've been sticking to my point since my first comment and your responses have led this conversation here. Not mine.
Hated everything about it except Lee Jun Ho and Dong Ha.
The characters were annoying and cringey. The soundtrack was boring and over used. They repeated the same problems over and over and the writing was cliche and predictable.
Over the top but entertaining enough to binge. Kinda funny sometimes.
Sadly, Korean writers still don't do their homework on profiling or mental illness and so the representation of psychopathy, brainwashing and serial killers is inaccurate and misinformative.
I respect your opinion. But please note that professionals with much more experience than yourself thought otherwise:…
The "professionals with much more experience", that you're referring to, also get paid to give you "their opinion". 10 nominees but keep in mind that they're not all for writing or execution. Most of them were for the actors. They were also nominated along side dramas like "crash landing on you" which I, as a writer, would not consider a good drama but it was indeed very popular. That's where people tend to get confused though. Popularity and quality are not the same thing and you should value unpaid peoples opinions over paid ones. When the camellia blooms was an average drama. Nothing more, nothing less. But if you connected with it then that's your opinion. You don't have to push other people down to justify that.

— Weight lifting fairy Kim Bok Joo (romcom, sports) - Oh my ghost (romcom, supernatural, suspense) -Welcome to Waikiki 2 (sitcom, comedy, romance)
Darker tone dramas - it's okay not to be okay (romance, suspense, psychology) - Cheese in the trap (the first series. Romance with a darker tone)
I don't watch a lot of pure romcoms where the guy starts out as a jerk but I've made this list with the romance and comedy tags in mind and I also tried to squeeze in some jerk guy concepts here and there haha ? I hope you enjoy these dramas as much as I did and if you do (or dont) please send me a dm and we'll talk about it ? Have a nice day~
I love your review and it's so true but I still enjoyed it. Plus and this is a real question b/c as someone new…
Honestly, good dramas handle flashbacks better than this. The best dramas I've seen only flashback a quote or a memory that the character needs in that moment to proceed. If you want, you could tell me your genre preference and I could recommend you some dramas ?
Hmm interesting how you actually didn't watch the majority of her productions . And dropped " Miss hammurabi"…
I can see that your comment is very emotionally loaded haha please don't take offense over my opinion. It just so happens that the dramas I have watched with her is "Black" , "Hwarang" and "Miss Hamurabi" and as you said, those are the dramas where she cries the most, and as I said, I haven't watched a drama where she isn't useless, weak, annoying or crying all the time. I'm not going after the actress here, I was commenting on her roles, so when I see Go Ah Ra, I will automatically expect her characters to follow the same pattern cause that's the case with most actors and actresses. They get type casted. No hate towards her though, she's just playing out her role and no herd following cause I usually don't agree with the herd. Lastly, I just happen to have seen Park Shin Hye in a lot more dramas and she gets pretty decent characters so I have to agree to disagree on your Park Shin Hye comment.
Oh! Fun fact; I've seen Go Ah Ra in "The producers" and "Who are you?" as well but I don't remember her performance in those shows so I can't really comment on that. Also! The reason I dropped Miss Hammurabi has less to do with the fact that I disliked her character and more to do with the fact that I just think it's a bad drama.
Hey, you wrote that "they could even added a death of a beloved character.." actually V died in this drama in…
You're right, I'm aware of V dying and the way I phrased it in the review made it seem as if they didn't kill anyone off but that's not what I meant haha I just wanted them to do a better job at it ^^ Honestly, this review is a few years old and its quite poorly written cause I was foolishly emotional and disappointed at the viewing experience. I could've done a better job so I really appreciate you being so respectful in the comments, I really do :)
Go Ah Ra is such a deal breaker for me. There's not a single drama I've watched with her where she isn't playing a character that's useless, weak, annoying or crying her eyes out in every other scene TT
If you liked this drama, I recommend OCNs 2018 original series "Son: The guest" by the same director. Its one of the best and scariest dramas I have ever watched
Great review! I know I said I wouldn't watch it because of 2MLS (Second male lead syndrome) but because someone said it was similar to Weightlifting fairy Kim Book Joo and because of your review emphasising the great chemestry between the main couple, I will give this drama a shot. ^^
