I don’t get how you as a viewer, would even consider Jae In as a suitable partner for Pi O. By the time the time skip came and the series still gave Jae In such little screentime, it should be so obvious that this role is clearly a supporting one. This character was so badly developed that it didn’t ever deserve the FL status. How would ANYONE expect her to be given a significant status with Pi O? What show were you watching?

She was more side than even the teacher.

It’s simply because of the way they have been misusing the FL. The producers have really done her a great disservice with her pathetic screentime and minimal character development, which do not allow her to connect well with her.

HAHAHAHA it’s comments like this that make it so hypocritical and ironic people pushing for it being a BL keep getting flamed.

She wears them in school, she wears them in wintry cold weather, she wears them as a professional manager, she wears them attending classical music performances. It’s like her most significant identity as the FL. And i am saying I really pity the actress who got tricked into taking this role as a FL and has been given so little to do.

The actors sure know their audience, and know what they are doing. Lol

WOW in episode 8, the FL appears in a grand total of about 5 minutes (including her voiceovers in two phone calls), she gets to HOLD PI-O’s HAND, AND she appears in YET ANOTHER SHORT SKIRT! YES!🙄

Seriously, they just need to remove her main cast status. It’s episode 8 already, and she is the LEAST important role even among the supporting cast. Even Pi-O and Jeong Yo’s high school bullies get to perform and have much better lines written for them, and it was quite a welcomed surprise to see JY’s friend apparently still helping him to take care of his father. Jae In is really given the short end of the stick.

The producers made every other main supporting cast member - the mother, grandfather, the teacher and the academy principal (the grandfather’s ex wife) react to JY’s reappearance on screen, BUT didn’t even show the FL’s initial reactions, except a 10 second phone call to Pi O where her voice was just displaying her usual whiney self. I don’t blame others for hating on her. It’s the way she has been written and treated in such an underwhelming manner by the writer, director and other producers.

Oh I totally agree! I like her the most out of the supporting cast too!

Why do people look for bromance in such weird places? Lol

This show was pretty blah for me. I like Shou as an artiste, and I like that his career is moving places since his singer, Werewolf and WOLF(S) days (he’s probably the most prolific of the group now), but his role and delivery seem to overly emphasise on solely his looks, physique and that cool demeanour. Nothing impressive about his acting skills. Christopher Lee fares better with whatever he’s been given, although, as mentioned, the plot is pretty thin and not very engaging.

Who cares? She is negligible and her screentime is pathetic.

The main reason is because her role is insignificant and that scene was shoehorned in. As the supposed FL, her role in this drama has been pathetic.

To be fair, I’ve seen much better written female characters who get caught in the middle of the MLs in several BLs. Here, the poor actress really got the very short end of the stick due to poor writing. The time skip really did her no favours at all and widened the gap between her and the audience. It doesn’t help that for a small 10% of the media publicity, they’ve had to include her awkwardly in the promotion of the show when she’s done absolutely nothing to move the plot forward.

Well there were homophobes who were plastering their extremely one dimensional views here, flaming our comments with their hatred. Glad that they seem to have disappeared for now.

TBH I think the poor FL is just a badly written caricature. She is really not ‘main’. I feel that Pi-O’s mother and teacher, perhaps even the grandfather as well as the school principal, play more significant roles in the drama. It’s been six episodes and the FL’s inclusion is very jarring and confusing. The time skip did her no favour, because she’s just the same badly written character but now in an adult form.

To be honest, many Korean actors seem to have a lot more chemistry with each other, rather than with their female counterparts. Look at Lee Je Hoon. He has such intense chemistry with so many male actors in action flicks like Taxi Driver, but his romantic comedies suffer from lacking chemistry with the FLs. Similarly, Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook’s chemistry was sizzling in Goblin, but I hated the dynamics between him and Kim Go Eun.

Stop criticising comments that are made about a FL who is badly written. We don’t hate the FL, we find her character very lacking in depth and development. The plot makes NO sense with the forced inclusion of a pathetic character who is supposed to be the female lead.

And for goodness sake, learn to PUNCTUATE. GAWD.

It’s got to a point where 90% of the marketing material only features the two MLS, and when the FL is shoehorned in, she becomes a jarring intrusion. We can only blame the writers for writing such a blah FL, and the producers for force feeding the media with fake advertising of the FL’s importance in the whole drama. Less than 40 minutes of screen-time in six episodes is horrendously pathetic.
