Rational binger

It's not the kissing really, it's the whole body language thing. How can you claim to be inlove with someone you obviously don't want to even accidentally touch? I've seen dramas with almost no kissing scenes but lovely romance eg Rise of Ning. I think there were 2 pecks in total, but I have rewatched many times just for the romance. You could see he loved her and vice versa. Not someone so stiff and keeping a polite distance and I'm supposed to believe that someone he's head over heels for her? There're great non-romance dramas that he's good for, maybe a detective drama. He could do those.

I can't agree more with you! I don't mind his no skinship thingy, but I mind when it ruins what would've been a perfect romance. I stopped watching him in anything that has a romance tag. Here's hoping he does strictly non-romance genres going forward.

Agreed. She's always been a bad actress and hasn't improved here either. It's not about age-why are people so ageist on this website? It's about acting and she sucks at it. Poor lad, always getting the short end of the stick. If he's not paired with a lousy fl, then it's a rubbish script. Sad, because he does well with whatever he gets. I hope he gets better productions in the future.

No it doesn't. To enjoy cdramas, there're some things you just have to come to terms with. Sleeping and waking up with heavy makeup; falling off a cliff but survivng with make up hair etc intact; imprisoned and tortured but make up intact; dying but with a full face of make up, hair intact LoL!!! It used to irritate me to no end, it still does, but I've learned to ignore.

Me too! I love his crazy family. I love his relationship with his uncle and the little tot-his cousin. I hope she comes back as cute as ever. I love the quarrelsome scholars at his male cousin's academy. I love his cousin's romance arc with the scheming prime minister's daughter. they'll be married with kids before he knows it lol!!! The theme song is also awesome! Love this drama; it's like JOL, but funnier.

The intimacy goes beyond kissing, to the way he looks at her, speaks to her, touches her, cares for her, protects her and she him-a fierce general becomes this intensely feminine creature basking in his love, but not the usual baby talk and childish rubbish. I love the way they love each other.

Oh, but it's an enjoyable ride. I laughed so hard I snorted my tea, so be careful of drinks while watching LoL! Also, there's a rubbish romance arc that was totally unnecessary. Unlikeable character that adds nothing to the story, but just ff those scenes and you'll be fine. If you liked Joy of life-this is a funnier drama though-you'll like this as well.

Yippie!!!!!! It's the funniest, most interesting and amazing drama-when you ff the irritating, lying princess scenes. We don't want any of that in season 2! Give us more of his crazy family; the alchemists; the quarrelsome scholar and go player grandpas; the gongs. And yes even the monks-especially the one he annihilated with words in between continuous dying at the hospital. "Have you eaten hot pot before? Dated a girl? Who are you to question my life" ROFL!!!
