Rational binger

Fl looked so beautiful in her wedding gown! She's an amazing human being. They both are and their love also. Lesson learned: bad times will pass by and may even be blessings in disguise, in retrospect. Even if life seems to be against you, choose to hope and keep on at it. Such a wonderful message! It's a beautiful drama and certainly doesn't deserve this low score.

Why is the score for this lovely drama so low? I'm on episode 12 and I love it so far. The fl reminds me of my now late childhood friend. She was the glue that kept our group together. This drama has taken me back to my childhood with my group of friends, riding bikes, climbing trees, falling, crying, then rushing off into another misadventure. I'm feeling very nostalgic right now. Why is the score so low? Is it because the ml is the abused one with his unhinged mother, while the fl is his healing place? When this formula was reverse applied in the first frost, people raved even though that dynamic was quite terrible. Because unlike here where you can clearly see the ml reciprocating and fighting on his end to hold on to the friendship, in FF, the burden was all on the ml. He was humiliated, discarded, disregarded so many times and just kept coming back for more, I couldn't help but pity him. But I guess it's romantic because it's the ml on the receiving end. Anyway, it's a free world. If you're considering watching this gem, don't hesitate. It's at least an 8.5 so far for me.

Have you seen Touch your heart? He was awesome in it. Also, in Guardian. He's a versatile actor but I understand your preference of him in dark roles.

Ditto. I blame the c-entertainment industry pressure to look a certain way. Very unnecessary in ZL's case because she used to be so refreshingly beautiful and her expressions- effortlessly executed. I find actors who fiddle with their faces subpar, because it messes with their acting. Try conveying emotions with your face pulled all sorts of ways. It just means you'll have to try harder which may seem like one is over-acting. But really you're just trying to get your frozen face to obey you. She's doing her best and I
wish her well, but I also hope that the industry would stop with the pressure on artists.

Asking for pointers pls: I'm on episode 14. I'm genuinely trying understand why she's hurt and acting the victim. Is she angry that she wasn't able to scam him into loving her or that he was also scamming her as well? Or did I miss something? Pls someone explain. Thank you.

It's not the kissing really, it's the whole body language thing. How can you claim to be inlove with someone you obviously don't want to even accidentally touch? I've seen dramas with almost no kissing scenes but lovely romance eg Rise of Ning. I think there were 2 pecks in total, but I have rewatched many times just for the romance. You could see he loved her and vice versa. Not someone so stiff and keeping a polite distance and I'm supposed to believe that someone he's head over heels for her? There're great non-romance dramas that he's good for, maybe a detective drama. He could do those.

I can't agree more with you! I don't mind his no skinship thingy, but I mind when it ruins what would've been a perfect romance. I stopped watching him in anything that has a romance tag. Here's hoping he does strictly non-romance genres going forward.

My heart is broken!!! Thank you for taking the time to share this information. I really liked his acting and was looking forward to more of his fight scenes in season 2. It's a crying shame, he's evil really. My heart goes out to 4th brother and his family.

Agreed. She's always been a bad actress and hasn't improved here either. It's not about age-why are people so ageist on this website? It's about acting and she sucks at it. Poor lad, always getting the short end of the stick. If he's not paired with a lousy fl, then it's a rubbish script. Sad, because he does well with whatever he gets. I hope he gets better productions in the future.

No it doesn't. To enjoy cdramas, there're some things you just have to come to terms with. Sleeping and waking up with heavy makeup; falling off a cliff but survivng with make up hair etc intact; imprisoned and tortured but make up intact; dying but with a full face of make up, hair intact LoL!!! It used to irritate me to no end, it still does, but I've learned to ignore.

Agreed. Her delivery of emotional scenes leaves a lot to be desired; she does funny well though.
