My thinking about the end is that the timeline that Kwang Ho creates by going back will “merge” with the “current” one and the characters affected will remember both things and get those memories later, like when Yeon Ho suddenly remembered the pen after Kwang Ho went back the first time.
Is there a love triangle between Jang Hyuk, So Dam and Hyun Min’s characters? Hyun Min is one of my favorite actors and I’m just wondering if his character will be hurt in the end or if he’s a bad guy or if he’s just their friend? Also is there bromance?
Spoiler for the endings of the 2011 drama City Hunter and for Kill It.
In City Hunter the ML (played by Lee Min Ho) is taking revenge against the government, and in the second to last scene of the drama he is shot and then seen bleeding heavily (as if bleeding out), then in the next to last scene the FL and the best friend is seen cleaning out the ML’s apartment. And in the last scene the ML (Lee Min Ho) is seen dring through the city at night, much like he did when he arrived in the beginning of the drama.
And in Kill It the ML is shot and seen bleeding out and then in the last scene the ML and FL is seen standing on a field. So here the scenarios are similar to those in City Hunter, and never once did I draw the conclusion that ML died at the end of that drama.
These dramas have a similar plot and ending, and a funeral etc is never seen, and it isn’t explicitly said whether they’re dead or alive. But they both have 1 scene after they’ve been shot where they’re both seen seemingly “alive”. Therefore my conclusion is that just like Lee Min Ho’s character in City Hunter was saved and recovered, the same somehow happened here with Jang Ki Yong’s character. Which means that he’s alive at the end and happy with Nana’s character, and that he just has a new identity now to keep away from the law and the government.
Maybe this is completely unrealistic but it’s kdrama and weirder things have happened so this is the version I’ll go with.
