I love SJ but the early episodes really gave me the feel that he was so arrogance but as the story continues, it will tell you that SJ is OK with anyone being sword wielded as long as that person is competent , and he will acknowledge ZY as sword weirder. He is a complex character and not an evil character at all, more like a grey character.
About him hitting ZY , it seems like he hesitated at first but have to show the fairness for his brother, still it kinda humiliated ZY.

Personally I think switching the director isn’t impossible but it may ruin story for the audiences since the director is also the script writer, another reason that many people (me too) watch it because of director’s aesthetic. So I think season 2 won’t be happening.

Oh maybe... I really want to know more about their family and other character’s backstory, sadly we all know there won’t be season 2.

Yu is in charge of family’s defense, and Jue take family’s business(cmiiw). Sword wielder is not allow to leave, then Yu lineage taking the sword wielder tittle make more sense (to me) why would someone like Shangjue take the tittle if he have to go outside to do the business?

I like the opening and fight scene BGM, it makes Shenli look cool, but the other songs don’t fit the drama, or maybe I need time to get into it.
