Title Don't Be Too Emotional Spoiler
Can anyone please explain the "Harvard graduate but still in 4th year but very talented" situation of…
I can explain but I don’t know how much you are okay with knowing. Essentially Jane in the novels is a Genius with an IQ if 200. He also has eidetic memory (photographic memory). He did go to Harvard but got kicked out. He’s in 4th year at their school because he’s getting another degree.

i genuinely confused. In case of jui and tee, it turns out that P'Jane didn't even do anything they're both suffering…
I think it would depend on who you ask in regards to Jui. I think if I remember correctly in the book there is no information to say the Jui was cheating and stealing money - but I could be misremembering. Ultimately that comes down to a persons own personal morals on if the believe it is right or wrong to put Jui in the path of an abusive ex who could potentially kill her. In the case of Little Janes morals that would likely in his opinion be a bad/wrong thing to do. I think Tee is the one who really is reaping what he sowed and I never felt bad for him. In the novel Tee is not in a cheating relationship with Jui - he was having relations with a 13 year old girl.

Ultimately Little Janes problem with big Jane is their vast difference in moral beliefs.

In the series I don’t know if Dan and Put are working together. In the book they they do not work together. Dan is just a peer who didn’t return the favor he received when Big Jane came for it so Big Jane shot him in the leg (back to the difference in morals) thereby crippling him for life. He comes into play later in the novels as well.

Put simply is in love with Little Jane and doesn’t want him to make a deal with big Jane as he knows that big Jane is a morally grey person and does bad things. Initially it comes from a good place, a place of wanting to protect Little Jane.

It’s a little naughty in nature 👀. So Big Jane was so obsessed with Little Jane And missed him so much he made a life like statue of him (a naughty statue) so he could get off to it. This is helped because in the book he has photographic memory. So essentially it is an exact, life like replica statue of Little Jane. He has it hidden in a locked room that he tells Little Jane not to go into In book 2 because he’s worried it will freak him
Out. It does freak him out but not Enough to have him to leaving Big Jane. He still loves Big Jane and they even do the naughty next to the statue at one point.

Book 3 is mostly big Jane and the family trying to help little Jane recover his memories and watching and mentally 18 year old Jane try to come to terms with the fact that he is not only dating a man but also dating a man who seems like he was a bad person. Ultimately in thr book he cannot say he loves Big Jane because not have the memories of the relationship or the emotional connection from their ups and downs over the years. So towards the end of the book when Big Jane proposes to him he breaks up with him telling him that he should go find someone who can love him because he doesn’t feel like the feelings he has for him can be called love. Big Jane is obviously devastated but tells him he will wait for him forever because he is the only one he loves. But he agrees to the break up and the separate and dont see each other anymore for awhile. I can’t remember how long but it’s gotta be more than three -six months. During this time little Jane realizes he thinks he does love him because even though he has no memories he misses him like crazy but he refuses to go to him out of a mex of embarrassment and responsibility for constantly jerking Big Jane around with his indecision. He doesn’t feel like it would be right of him to go back to him at this point even though he wants to. During a Chinese new years parade or something he ends up getting his memories back triggered by firecrackers that sound like gunshots. So he returns to Jane then and there and promises never to leave him and tells him he can do favors he doesn’t care about that and he just wants to be with him. So they live together happily ever after and at the end Big Jane does in fact continue doing favors. Irs actually a little unclear maybe on purpose whether he wa stalwarts doing favors under the guise of being a psychologist or if he just uses that occupation not to assist with his favor business but as is foreshadowed in episode 2 of the tv show. When out behavior conflicts with the attitudes and beliefs we hold the Cognitive dissonance causes us to change out attitude and beliefs first because the behavior is had already occurred. Little Jane throughout the books despite trying not to has fallen in love with Big Jane who he describes as a being a demon, a villain, having no emotional intelligence and being morally grey. Because of the stress and uncomfortability but his inability to let Big Jane go he eventually changes his attitudes towards these things that caused him such grief in the first book.

Book 2 - 5 years have passed. Jane quits his job at a company due to mistreatment. He goes to apply for thr same company his friend works at. He gets called in for an interview but instead of an office position they want to interview and offer him a live in nanny position. This turns on to be due to the fact that the company is owned by Big Jane. He saw his resume and wanted to be near him so he offered him this job to come live with him and care for his little brother who his father sent to live with them from overseas. Little Jane is happy to see big Jane as over the course of the 5 years he has realized he loves him enough to overlook his job doing favors and his morally grey personality and outlook on life. So he essentially plans to woo Big Jane and get back together with him. Big Jane at this time is trying to hold boundaries as he previously realized how unhappy he made little Jane and does not want to start a relationship again both because of that and because he doesn’t think he could take it if Little Jane left him again. But ultimately through playing house and proximity they do rekindle the relationship and get back together. Little Jane no longer cares about Big Janes favor business and is happy to just be with him. Unfortunately as a repercussion of the favor business Little Jane gets shot protecting big Jane from an angry past client. And the second book ends with Little Jane hospitiazed and in a coma. He wakes up and has lost his memories reverting back to 18 years old before he ever even met Big Jane. Big Jane leaves his favor business because of what happened and it says he becomes a psyxhologist.
During this book is when Little Janes you get sister Jin asks a favor from Big Jane and it causes some friction within the family and within their relationship but it ultimately resolves.

Anything specific you want to know?
Well in book one After little Jane overhears Big Jane threatening Pudit and also seeing what happens to Jui he tells him he doesn’t want to be together with him. Little Jane’s thinking is very black and white, bad and good no in between. This makes Big Jane upset and he essentially tells him he will be come back to him for a favor. He doesn’t make avoiding him easy either. It’s after this separation that Little Jane meets Win in the book and starts dating him. This also obviously upsets Big Jane. He feel that he understands Little Jane better than Win and is always trying to leverage that to get Little Jane to come back to him. After Little Jane’s younger brother gets into gambling debt Little Jane sees no way out other than to do just as Big Jane knee he would eventually and he goes to him for a favor. Big Jane pays the debt but the return favor is essentially for Little Jane to be his. So he makes him dump Win and even eventually makes him come and live with him. During this time it does have a feeling of dubious consent mixed in with the fact that Little Jane is attracted to Big Jane he just hates the way he sees the world and the things that he does. He tries to work through that but eventually towards the end of book one decides he cannot reconcile everything as they have some dangerous encounters where Big Jane gets shot. He decides to try and run away to a friend who has come back to Thailand and try and see what he can do from there. Big Jane finds out he ran off in the night and calls in favors from literally everyone who owes him a favor saying whoever can bring Little Jane back will no longer owe him. So little Jane gets chased by a bunch of people and ultimately gets brought back. Big Jane is obviously pissed but ultimately things go back to Joe they were. I think this is when they first end up doing the deed 🔥. Even so by the end of the book Little Jane still cannot handle it and essentially ask for a favor from Big Jane to let him have his life back and leave him alone. Big Jane always gives when asked for a favor so he does what he asks and dissapeare in thr night. Funnily enough Little Jane has instant regret when he wakes up in thr morning and realizes Big Jane is gone. He can no longer get through to him at his number and has no way to contact him. Book one ends with him finding a letter that big Jane left for him proclaiming his love for him. (One of the big things that bothered little Jane during thr books is that he didn’t know if Big Jane really actually loved him or not)z also big Jane left thr apartment he owned that they lived together with in to him as well ro do with as he wished.

That’s book one summary. Now book 2 below

No they did not. There’s actually some interesting stuff you learn about the extent of big Jane’s obsession with him when they get back together in book 2. I’m not sure if that part will be in the drama. Let me know if you want to know and I can share. Essentially according to Big Jane little Jane is literally the only person he will love in his life. Thr only time little Jane dates someone else is in book one when they separate. This is not the last time in the books they separate either. There’s some more separation in book 3 but it’s a happy ending and they still end up together.

He’s not inherently bad but he isn’t inherently good either. He doesn’t have really any care towards anyone other than Jane. Everybody else is essentially a means to an end in regards to his gig giving and taking favors. The only really important thing to him is Jane. Hes bad to you if you don’t follow through with returning the favor.

No I think the antithesis comment is the best idea. There really isn’t much important context to the same name in the books.

Title Don't Be Too Emotional Spoiler
Jane Patrick is a soul hunter. People asks favour from him but in returns he wants something in return. Homeboy…
At the end of the first book Little Jane asks to leave Big Jane him. Essentially phrasing it as asking a favor because Big Jane won’t let him go. 5 years pass and Little Jane is miserable and realizes he misses big Jane but Big Jane had dissapeared. He applies for a job at a company where his friend works and it turns out that Big Jane owns it. He sees his application and instead hires him to essentially be a live in nanny for his little brother who was sent to live with him. They reconnect and Little Jane missed him so much he decides he actually doesn’t care about thr morally grey favor business that Big Jane runs, he just wants to be with him. So he essentially woos Big Jane who is trying to hold boundaries (ambiguously) and they get back together. So they both kinda pursue each other over the course of the nove

Title Don't Be Too Emotional Spoiler
I think what is bad are the ways and the methods he use? .I don't know i am not yet sure about it,maybe from the…
I Think it ultimately comes down to thr moral question in specific circumstances. So in the instance of Jui. Maybe she asked him for something once and so she owes him a favor. But now her abusive drug addicted boyfriend (who she escaped) asks for a favor: bring her back to me. He calls in that favor to her saying you owe me a favor - go back to your abusive ex who you barely escaped with your life.

Technically yes a favor is owed so it shouldn’t be a big deal. It’s the moral situational ambiguity. I think most people would say it’s not right to send her to that person. This could cause her harm. She could die. We don’t know. This is the part of Big Jane that is hard for the reader and little Jane to reconcile with. He simply doesn’t care, it’s not his problem what happens after he follows through with the favor. I think it’s less the methods and instead his lack of humanity and emotional awareness whether its something he can’t control, simply doesn’t possess or purposely ignores.

I never expected to see a scene like that happen during an exam. When Little Jane was toching himself was so intense…
Yeah in the novel he doesn’t pour blood on his bike he takes a baseball bat to it. But yes it was him or perhaps someone else he made do it for him as a favor we don’t actually know for sure i dont think. But Big Jane caused it. This is because he was angry that Put was trying to get little Jane away from him.

Red flag but im colourblind ❌Black flag but im fully blind ✔️.Guys P'Jane is a black flag not a red one…
Jet does not make a deal with Big Jane. He get into gambling debt so Little Jane ends up making a deal with Big Jane to pay it off and that’s what get him back with Big Jane. It is correct also that the younger sister makes a deal with Big Jane 5 years later ro get into a top K-pop agency In korea. Big Jane tells her he can get her in but what happens after that is based on her own motivation and ability. Big secret: she has no actual motivation and no ability. She expects everything to be given to her and she spends all of her time there buying luxury food with the living expense her parents send her while also getting living expenses from Big Jane. Big surprise she fails and has to come back but the contract she made with Big Jane states she owed him all of this money back. She’s a brat and refuses to pay it. So he demands the families home and their Chinese medicine store and they still have to repay him more debt money on too of that. So they lose their home and have to live in a one bedroom. Little Jane and Jet work their butts off (jet is a nurse), the dad becomes depressed for losing their home and their store that his father before him basically worked for from ground up. And the mother is not hirable since it’s been so long since she worked so she has to do sewing to supplement income. The family is so miserable and it’s true that none of them actually blame Big Jane they blame Jin the younger sister. Which I kinda agree with. She was insufferable, had no respect, and did whatever she wanted while whining about not getting what she wanted. She felt the heat finally with how miserable her family became so she went and begged Big Jane. He made a deal with her that he would give thr home and the store back but she would have to complete studies for her GED (she didn’t graduate high school) and would also need to get into a top colllege. If she did not do that he would take it all back. He would also reduce the debt amount to a manageable amount that she would have to pay back with no help from the rest of the family. Ultimately this taught her respect, and how to tske responsibility. While it was kind of an awful way to do it he did it this way because h didn’t think she would really understand or tske it seriously unless she saw the real time consequences of her actions. Even for awhile there while the family was working their butts off in that one bedroom apartment she still want getting off her ass to work or help. This is why Big Jane felt he had to do it this way.

I was wondering how they were going to fit it all in. I guess we will see

Based on what I read he’s not but idk why there’s a supernatural genre in the tags. In the novel he’s just…
In The book he is not actually a demon. He approaches little Jane simply because he’s interested in him. Later in the novels he kinda describes it as love at first sight. Like gravity brought them together.

I feel like this would also be interpreted based on each individual and what they consider bad. He never physically harms little Jane. I think he is super possessive. There is a part in the first book near the end I think where Little Jane decides he can’t be with Jane anymore because he considers him to be too bad. So he decides to run away. Jane wakes up and he’s gone so he makes an order to everyone who owes him a favor to go and bring Little Jane back and he will erase their debt to him essentially. So little Jane ends up being pursued by like 20-30 people to bring him back at big Janes order. Of course this is technically kidnapping. He is taken back and there is a scene where Big Jane tells him to go shower and essentially uses the shower head and points it at his face to kind of suffocate him a little because of how pissed he is that he tried to leave him. That’s the closest I think hes ever been to actually hurting little Jane.
