Honestly, I wonder how they’re going to fit it all into 12 episodes, especially since the trailer only seems…
His family is safe throughout the first book. In thr second book little Jane’s youngster sister has an attitude problem and goes behind backs to make a deal with Big Jane to get into a top agency in Korea. She does get in but she is not good enough to go any further after a couple months and gets sent home. During that time her parents were sending her living expenses but Big Jane also sent her living expenses as part of a formal contract. So when she gets back he asks for all of the debt back (mind you this is while he’s dating little Jane). She refuses to pay it and still has attitude so he demands the families home, and the Chinese medicine store they have. They cannot sell it to anyone or rent it out it has to be given to him and they have to work off the remaining debt. They end up living in a one bedroom apartment. And the whole family works their butts off to try and pay Big Jane back. It seems messed up initially but Big Jane has a long game to teach the you get sister respect. She eventually feels so bad that her decisions have lost her family their home and their business that was generational. Her father is depressed, both little Jane and the other brother Jet are working to the point of exhaustion and the mother is not hireable due to having not worked for so long so she does sewing to supplement income. The family is miserable so she basically goes to Big Jane and begs him to give everything back to thr family and she will pay off the debt herself . He gives everything back and cut down the debt to a manageable amount but tells her she needs study to get her GED(she never finished high school) and get into a top college. Also she needs to pay the remaining debt herself. No other family member can pay it.

In the book he eventually goes to make a deal with big Jane because his younger brother gets into really bad gambling debt and they need to pay it off. He doesn’t want to tell his parents but he is also just a college kid and his brother is in high school at the time. So he makes a deal with Jane so that they can pay off the debt. This I think may change in the tv show but we will have to see.
At your mercy 🌚What type of spoilers would you like?
In the book there is nothing supernatural. The main character just often describes hims as a winged demon or as a villain. I don’t know if they will change this in the tv show. In The story he does do a blood pact when he grants favors but that’s just more something he likes to do I think to assert power over others and Intimidate. Nothing super natural about it.
After reading the book so far I think the leads are pretty well cast. They do the characters justice. I’m interested to see how they progress with that and I’m also interested to see how they choose to adapt this from the book. Will it only be book one or a mesh of all three? Will they change the story a lot? Definitely intrigued.
This is so hilarious. I love it. Honestly I am so curious how Thee’s character got to be this way because it’s a unique type of disconnection for him to operate like this. He reminds me a bit of the one brother from Kinnporsche who stays inside watching dramas all day. I’ve never read the source material but I hope there is some good backstory for why his character navigates the world this way.
All of the couples in this show are fantastic. It definitely is more of a lighthearted watch but cute and worth it if you don’t want anything with too much angst. I gotta say Lee and Klaijai were killing me. So were Real and Hia. They know how to tease for these other pairings because I was lapping it up.
I’m loving this so far. There are comments that’s it’s slower paced which is true but it feels like it’s stylistically that way. I think the story telling supports its slower pace. The filming is gorgeous, the acting is great, and the overall mystery and atmosphere is wonderful and is keeping me on the edge of my seat. It’s hard to find shows that have the same vibe as this. The vibe is reminiscent of My Ahjussi mixed with Goblin in the stylistic choices and direction. I don’t know if that’s too much of a stretch but that’s how I feel. There are beautiful messages if you read between the lines as well. All in all so far a solid 9/10 for me with the possibility to get better or worse.
Okay but can we talk about the two main leads chemistry?? I’ve loved each of them in their separate roles but seeing them together in this show is like two puzzle pieces clicking perfectly! I never knew their chemistry would be this good! I am a huge fan of these two and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the show unfolds! 10/10 for me!
I want people to be honest when I ask this. Will people be as petty as they were for Love Alarm 2 if the person…
I won’t rate it based off of who he ends up with. No matter who he ends up with it’s still a great show. I am all about Shinwoo though so I will root for him until the end.

What they said was roughly:
nah, what I mean is this movie is straight romance, I was sleepy yesterday so I typed it wrong, don't be unreasonable. I don't mean to discriminate.
