There are multiple ways to interpret the endings. One is that after she changed the past, it created another parallel timeline where another BSJ and HYR lived in the better future. Another is from what I understand, changing their past help change their karmic cycles or to lessen their pains that they currently experienced in the present. It is not about changing the events of present but changing the process how the events occurred. Like fate still let events to happens as it is but the reason that brought forth such event changed. For example our villain, he became evil due to the death of all his family. Saving his family from the meteorite, let that no longer become the trigger, the most painful one for him. He can still become evil due to other things such as being led astray, wrong decision making, absorbing evil energy and etc. In summary, it is not about changing the present but changing the butterfly effects of the future.

The drama was the first adaptation of the novel, it follow pretty close, would say about 70-80% similarities with a few changes here and there. After a month this drama finished airing, the manhua actually came out. There are quite a few scenes from the manhua that are exactly like the drama as the author of the novel both worked on the drama (as scriptwriter) and the manhua (as author). If you were to compare the drama vs. the manhua, the manhua follows the novel more closely than the drama.

If you were to compare the novel description and the manhwa depictions of Shuyi's fashion you will noticed how they failed BL's fashion in the drama. But it is what it is and it wasn't disastrous as Lucky's First Love. I've noticed lot of comments, blaming BL for actually allowing the team to have that one wig on her. Out of numerous type of cheap wig, they chose that one and only one. Like they could have picked another one to add variety.

Lol I'm not saying Bai Lu looks bad or ugly in these costume. I'm telling you that some of these costume material look very cheap on first impression. While I don't agree with the fan making this public, there are some validations to their worry due to previous history with how the production style her. BL has mentioned that she wont interfere with the director styling choices so. We mainly just want the styling to fit the character they are trying to portray. She doesn't have to be glamorous all the time. Take Northward, for example, BL was dressed down, tanned and with braced. The fans didn't say anything about it because it was fitting for her character setting. It was mainly the haters and anti that were calling her ugly.

Regarding MXY, when YeLi was looking at the Ding bookkeeping, she realized that MXY has wealth that rival the Emperor that was why the Emperor was jealous yet afraid of him and are scheming to keep Ding wealth for himself. MXY is "fallen" in a sense that he became cripple from a once mighty military commander to a wheelchair bound one not because of wealth which he doesn't lack because his status as a Prince. He dress simply yet still show class. He like to dress in white and has multiple type and embroiled patterns of whites until Ye Li told him to add more color to his wardrobe.

Believe it or not, costume design plays a parts in the believability of story-telling and affect viewer experiences. If you are telling me that he is richer than the Emperor yet somehow only show me how he dress as a normal subject and lives in a normal place, then I aint buying it.

Regarding Northward, the fans were mostly quiet because they all know Hua Zi was from a working class so you wouldn't much expect otherwise. However for Moli, Mo Xiu Yao is a Prince and there has been mention that his total wealth could rival that of the emperor and that the Emperor is poorer than his subject. Ye Li is also from a prominent family. She also received her own wealthy dowry after marriage. Her clothing improved after marriage. She have a team that make and embroil cloth for her. Even though Ye Li prefer simple clothing she does dress up for the occasions. And y'all need to understand the difference between cheap and plain vs simple yet still elegant and expensive clothing. Ye Li has been explained to be the latter type of gal: simple, elegant yet still show her status. Now compared with Ye Li from the leaks and you will notice the difference. Even when she was dress as a man, Chu Jun Wei wasn't a broke. He dresses was a wealthy young master

They could have but all of the footage of ZS in the name ripping game were pretty tense unless they cut the whole game out since it was a group thing unlike the individual scene in the bird episode. If they cut it, the episode will then lack the suspense/action pack of the day.

Though problematic as it can lead to misunderstanding, I can somehow understand the motivation behind the edits. First is to make the scene less serious with the laughter added than what can be seen on screen. Without the effect it will be seen as too serious as we can clearly see that the game was getting too competitive and people were getting hurt. The production were trying to lessen their backlash from setting up the condition to allow their members and guests to get hurt. It wasn't a target it just they needed some to become scapegoats.
