I was about to leave a comment but it seems there is still one episode left so I'll watch everything again when it s all done.
So far up to episode 5... I loved it. It was a simple and honest story with simple character. That 5th episode was so good. Their conversation... we tend to do this with strangers. It seems it is easier to open our hearts and minds and share our experiences.. of course the wine helped.. it always does.
I enjoyed this more than I want to admit. It was funny at first but as you get into the story and messages exposed there is more than meets the eyes. It gets really deep and heavy if you pay attention.
It has this play and satire feeling to it. The dialogues and monologues... even the long silence have meaning and depth. Very political and they also discuss many social and sexual inequalities. It also included the Covid situation. The thesis professor is not that crazy. I liked his speaches. Also the sex scenes where done very well without going overboard.
It is not perfect but it is way better than many huge budget and long productions. This deserves more rating.
YeaH! Likewise. I kept reading comments but everyone seems to be more interested in the "fake kiss" than in the actual plot. For me Kevin's issue is way more important.
Seems I'm the only one that wants to know what really happened after Jim finds out what his dad did . I want to see the scene when Jim confronts him and asks him about the affair. His dad has no reason to be so demanding after what he did.
Birdy was not trying to run away from his feelings or sexuality... he was trying to protect their love and relationship.…
It's ok. I know it wasn't explicit but it is in between the lines. Knowing what could happen if it ever was out in the open he decided to protect their love. Not even Jia approved and got confused but he later understood everything. That's why they end up fighting in the office cause they tried to protect one another. Who knows what would happen to them if they stayed together out in the open back then. Even as grown ups they are each other first love and probably the love of their lives... deep down they know it. Bit it was kind of too late now to start so their memories will remain like the time they were young... that been the last par t when they're singing in the street as their younger selves and well the end credits.
The plot overall was explored in a lot of movies and TV series so I can't say that it is unique, but I did love…
Birdy was not trying to run away from his feelings or sexuality... he was trying to protect their love and relationship. That way they could still see each other. When everything blew off after the school fight they had to part ways. But they knew they loved and wanted each other. The shower scene and when they runway together to the beach they finally let go and let their fellings take over their sad and current reality.
I just saw him on IG in the explore part... I had to look him up when it said Korean actor. I mean he looked familiar but couldn't totally recognize him.
OMFG! He looks so freaking young with longer. He was already hot and just got ridiculously more handsome. Blessed the longer. You're so welcome to my guys with long hair list.
I haven't seen Flower of Evil but I think I should... and fast. Been having a KDrama break. Lol!
I'm glad I started my BL drama marathon with this perfection.
The actors gave so much to their characters. Incredible work. Cinematography was gorgeous as well. It felt like watching a very long and entertaining movie.
All the little details that made their love so intimate and intense without doing or saying much was the cherry on top for me.
I'm so glad I waited for it to be complete cause I binged watched it and have no regrets. The plot, the characters,…
When you have people that depend on you just can go and do all that you please. I've been ther for a long time. You kind of loose yourself. It takes time, patience and courage.
I admired GangTae. He really did all he could from a very young age therefore he never asked or expected anything apart from been his brother caretaker. Seen GangTae remembering that he belongs to himself to get his freedom was painful and so powerful. Seen SangTae wanting and owning his independence as well was beautiful.
I think people focused to much on irrelevant things. It is a Korean Drama... what do you expect. The formula... cliche... works why break it. It does get tiresome but at this point in my life after watching so many dramas from different places... I overlook all that and try to really get into the story and message.
I'm so glad I waited for it to be complete cause I binged watched it and have no regrets. The plot, the characters, the actors... everything was great. I laughed but I cried a lot. Every time Sang Tae understood a little bit more GangTae I cried. I loved his drama.
To answer the question of the title Was it love?Yes, it was! A really messy one but it was all about love.Different…
Was it love? Yes!
All the main characters had different kinds of love towards each other.
Main Couple: Romantic love. They loved each other so much they never got over them... but still they used their "love/hate" to carry on with their life.
the actors: (male/female) Platonic love. Actor love for the main couple... he was in love with her but helped her fal in love with another man. He was loyal to her to the point he got lost along the way. Actress loved the writer she confessed but was rejected. Still she got on the way. Both got blinded by their love and made wrong choices. Gladly they aknowledge their short comings in the end and saved their relationship with their love interest. (Rooting for them cause they match up very well)
the teacher: Family love. this was more of a motherly... brotherly... family love. Yes he had a crush on noona. I mean he was in highschool when they met. Noona always supported him emotionally when he needed it the most. Thing that NONE of his family ever did. Once he finds out noona is in trouble he just wanted to be there for her as she was for him. (Hope he finds a good girl that deserves him and I'm sure he will be a great uncle for Hanee)
the gangster: Frienship love. He just wanted to help her cause she looked like a girl he couldn't save. He wasn't fter her in a romantic way. He was trying to redeem himself. In the end got a few good friends and opened his heart to others. I so want him to be with the Bar owner they are meant to be. LOL!
THE KIDS: Pure innocent first love that comes from friendship. My favorite couple. LOL!

What I really didn't like was the fact that the mother after everything was out in the open didn't tell her kid what REALLY happen. She kept the kid confused until the very end when he decides to leave and finally he is the one that tells her it was all because of a misunderstanding. Mom should have explained everything. The kid would have understand and perhaps accepted him as a dad faster or with a lighter heart. She was mature enough so I didn't get why she couldn't sit down and explain everything. This was my biggest issue.
