omg watching porn is an illness? Seriously? May be they mean watching illegally taken porn, i.e. taken without…
I think what they meant is that generally 'addiction' is an illness, and addictions come in all types of shapes, starting from gaming and drinking to watching porn non-stop. If you can't lead a normal life unless you have taken your daily 'dose' then that's an illness. I sort of wish that they went about this in a more specified way too. They could have clarified that being curious about sexuality at 15 is normal but that secretly peeking at people, violating their rights is not.
"The person that needs treatment first is the one that caused trauma, not the one who is suffering from it." - I loved this part, because, indeed, most of the times the best healing for a person is to 'heal the enviroment' and only afterwards heal themselves.
might be because of the last couple of episodes, but if there are some people like me I do not rate until last…
I think that MDL has a perfectly sane system for that.
You can state whether you've finished or are still in the process of watching the show, even state how many episode you've watched. Also, you can edit the review. I use reviews as a way to both archive my own opinion on the show, and also as a way to simply tell a person who's considering watching it what the show is about up until the moment I've watched. If there's a review on 2 episodes, then they're simply telling you how good those 2 episodes were.
Considering rating system... isn't it fine? Some people prefer to finish watching from start to finish, no matter what, some people just want to watch something to lift up their mood and can go through several shows until they find that one good one. If a show is half-way done and the rating is bad you get to choose; whether you judge it for yourself or follow the majority's opinion. And of course, if the rating is super high, you might be inclined to give it a chance faster, but even then, who's to say you won't be that exception that absolutely hates the show?
This system doesn't change things, really. At the end of the day, some shows will naturally be more popular than the others and each individual person will come to a conclusion themselves, whether they hate it or love it.
Okay, I have no idea why this drama is rated so low. Mostly, what I figured is because of the characters. FL seems…
Even if she wants to 'save' everyone, the way she's being with JB is too friendly. She's crossing over the boundaries of even those same YA novel protagonists. She should stick with giving 'encouraging speeches' and refrain from all that body contact. At this point it feels like she's dating JB while longing for SH.
I keep coming back into the comments section just to see that some people still ship FL with JB... like, I truly…
I think the romantic background music and sort of 'longing' that those scenes portray makes it 'shippable'...but you gotta be smarter than the FL and realize that it's creepy not romantic.
Woah the score for this drama dropped a lot!Is it that bad? I was actually very intrigued by the plot.
Well... the female lead is some sort of St. Mary, dunno how else to describe her over the top care and forgiveness for others, constantly trying to 'save' everyone from bad all the while retaining an idealistic mindset. And the male leads are...psychos, in their own unique ways. One is more of a regular kdrama psycho another is on a whole new level of creepy psycho. Add female lead in the mids of that, treating them both as equals and you get a confusing mess that is this drama.
Why's she leading them both on? She claims to love one but acts love-struck with both...
Also, why is she being so romantic towards someone who's actively psychotic and is hungry for murder? There should be a limit to wanting to save someone, especially some stranger. Even if he hadn't commited murder till now, he stabbed that guy just because he saw an opportunity to do so. Same way how he saw an opportunity for his brother to die. He also hesitates to save anyone...he hesitated to help FL twice in this episode alone...can't she have a bit more sense, please?
Personally, I'm really interested in seeing more of this. The mental health issues presented here doesn't feel as alien as in some other dramas and we get to see the characters trying to deal with them while maintaining their day to day life.
Are the latest episodes that bad? Because Im in the middle of watching This but I dont know what madd me come…
Rather than bad I just think we expected too much and got disappointed. It hurts more to get disappointed rather than getting something mediocre from the start. Personally I still love the characters and their story, it's just the drama went into 'kdrama cliche' mode and it felt a bit like a slap in the face since it felt so refreshing and unique before that. Judge it as a kdrama, not as something extraordinary, then you'll be fine.
Honestly I hate this - the fact that Anchor Lee tries so hard to fight for them and that Ha Jin keeps leaving him. I hoped they would take a different approach...
Also, why in nearly every kdrama one of the leads has to go abroad before the finale? Enough of that. Do something different, please.
[ this is coming from a No. 1 fan of this drama. It's just...ughh! ]
All in all, I didn't like 2 things in this drama:
- Firstly, the way Jeong Hoon got stabbed. That was...unnecessary. He didn't HAVE to go up there with police on his side, yet he still did. I guess their end-game was Jeong Hoon walking in the hospital, wounded but alive, while seeing the stalker - bedridden in the vegetable state. So, that's okay. I can forget about this little slip up as it didn't change much of the overall plot.
- Second is Ha Jin leaving Jeong Hoon. The first time she left him, it was frustrating. They just promised each other to 'Never Say Goodbye' and then she broke that promise. But since she came back to him in the end, asking whether she can't just 'Stay with Him', I accepted her leaving and accepted her return.
Her suddenly changing her mind and the whole cat and mouse game following that was...okay, I guess. We got cute scenes out of that and it showed just how much Jeong Hoon is truly invested in the relationship. Just how real it is for him. And who wouldn't want a man that you know will stay by your side no matter what?
Hence, the second time...
When our leads are once again ready to fight the storm, mostly Jeong Hoon's initiative, and they're supportive of each other and all that, but then, once again, Ha Jin choses to leave him, and this time for something as cliche as going abroad. Can't we like...not? This is just SO FRUSTRATING. Let them either be a couple that loves each other but cannot support each other so are forced to leave each other's side until...they mature or sth, OR, make them a couple that can stay together no matter what comes at them. They could have tried holding a press conference to give 'Their Side of the Story' or Jeong Hoon could have left for the US together with her.
I'm just...so invested in this drama and it feels so frustrating to see that they were so close to perfection yet went with the most cliche kdrama approach. Sigh. I still love this drama, but...you know.
Kim Soo Hyuk deserves better so she can stay with Chun Jong Bum. I don't care anymore.
