Your words are a bit harsh but If your point was only just that what Red M!apple said. There wouldn't be a need…
Well, in my society we don't talk about that all (with rare exceptions). Even if someone stumbled upon something they'd 'pretend not to notice'. And once you're an adult, well... what you self-learned that you got. So...yeah.
And I totally get it that the scene was a 'realistic portrayal' of the reaction i just meant I hoped the doctor would comment on that from the sidelines. Because I'm not sure what the guy will learn from this right now. Once he's cured, will he have to live the rest of his life as a monk? Even 10 years later? Will he ever be able to lead a normal life? They never talked about this, and if criminals are urged to come back to society after serving time then isn't it the same for him?

Your clarification really put the things into a better perspective. I agree with your points, though, in the episode it did feel like some of that said clarification was missing. I particularly didn't like the scene in the 'stage therapy' when the 'mom' was angry at the kid. It just felt weird being put alongside the guy's other 'curiosities'. I wish there was that one sentence where it was said that "Being curious about sexuality in general is normal but yours went beyond that. Your curiosity became harmful to others." I guess they meant to show where it all started, him watching other people, but honestly, I felt called out in that scene. Like, can't I read/watch sexual material now without being looked as a perv. It's not what they meant, I know, but I'm just saying that scene was a little bit lacking.
Thank you for writing such a throughout review. I don't think I'd have that much energy in me to make so much well-prepared points lol
Honestly this non-linear timeline is such a headache. It's okay to go back to tell the backstory once, but every episode? Ugh.... If it was going to be like that, they could've just put 'date' on every scene so we understand when it's happening.
Can someone please reupload the drama with linear timeline? (jk, well, not really)
With only 2 eps Does anyone feels that this is the "gay version" of Nam shin & young hoon on "are you human too?"…
That's what I've been thinking. Especially when the father said if anything happens to my son, you'll get hit instead. I shipped Nam Shin and Young Hoon soo badly in the show.
omg watching porn is an illness? Seriously? May be they mean watching illegally taken porn, i.e. taken without…
I think what they meant is that generally 'addiction' is an illness, and addictions come in all types of shapes, starting from gaming and drinking to watching porn non-stop. If you can't lead a normal life unless you have taken your daily 'dose' then that's an illness. I sort of wish that they went about this in a more specified way too. They could have clarified that being curious about sexuality at 15 is normal but that secretly peeking at people, violating their rights is not.
"The person that needs treatment first is the one that caused trauma, not the one who is suffering from it." - I loved this part, because, indeed, most of the times the best healing for a person is to 'heal the enviroment' and only afterwards heal themselves.
might be because of the last couple of episodes, but if there are some people like me I do not rate until last…
I think that MDL has a perfectly sane system for that.
You can state whether you've finished or are still in the process of watching the show, even state how many episode you've watched. Also, you can edit the review. I use reviews as a way to both archive my own opinion on the show, and also as a way to simply tell a person who's considering watching it what the show is about up until the moment I've watched. If there's a review on 2 episodes, then they're simply telling you how good those 2 episodes were.
Considering rating system... isn't it fine? Some people prefer to finish watching from start to finish, no matter what, some people just want to watch something to lift up their mood and can go through several shows until they find that one good one. If a show is half-way done and the rating is bad you get to choose; whether you judge it for yourself or follow the majority's opinion. And of course, if the rating is super high, you might be inclined to give it a chance faster, but even then, who's to say you won't be that exception that absolutely hates the show?
This system doesn't change things, really. At the end of the day, some shows will naturally be more popular than the others and each individual person will come to a conclusion themselves, whether they hate it or love it.
Okay, I have no idea why this drama is rated so low. Mostly, what I figured is because of the characters. FL seems…
Even if she wants to 'save' everyone, the way she's being with JB is too friendly. She's crossing over the boundaries of even those same YA novel protagonists. She should stick with giving 'encouraging speeches' and refrain from all that body contact. At this point it feels like she's dating JB while longing for SH.
I keep coming back into the comments section just to see that some people still ship FL with JB... like, I truly…
I think the romantic background music and sort of 'longing' that those scenes portray makes it 'shippable'...but you gotta be smarter than the FL and realize that it's creepy not romantic.
Woah the score for this drama dropped a lot!Is it that bad? I was actually very intrigued by the plot.
Well... the female lead is some sort of St. Mary, dunno how else to describe her over the top care and forgiveness for others, constantly trying to 'save' everyone from bad all the while retaining an idealistic mindset. And the male leads are...psychos, in their own unique ways. One is more of a regular kdrama psycho another is on a whole new level of creepy psycho. Add female lead in the mids of that, treating them both as equals and you get a confusing mess that is this drama.
Why's she leading them both on? She claims to love one but acts love-struck with both...
Also, why is she being so romantic towards someone who's actively psychotic and is hungry for murder? There should be a limit to wanting to save someone, especially some stranger. Even if he hadn't commited murder till now, he stabbed that guy just because he saw an opportunity to do so. Same way how he saw an opportunity for his brother to die. He also hesitates to save anyone...he hesitated to help FL twice in this episode alone...can't she have a bit more sense, please?
Personally, I'm really interested in seeing more of this. The mental health issues presented here doesn't feel as alien as in some other dramas and we get to see the characters trying to deal with them while maintaining their day to day life.

Kim Soo Hyuk deserves better so she can stay with Chun Jong Bum. I don't care anymore.
