The most chaotic, fun and heartwarming K-drama I’ve watched so far
Twinkling Watermelon is probably the most chaotic, fun, and heartwarming K-drama I’ve watched so far. It had me laughing, crying, and feeling all warm inside.
I honestly don’t know how they managed to pack so many themes into one drama—time travel, friendship, teenage dreams and music, the lives of deaf people, father–son bonds, father–daughter bonds, mother–daughter bonds, the connection between a grandmother and her children and grandchildren, first love, love at first sight, falling in love, never giving up—and yet it all blends seamlessly into one of the most touching stories I’ve seen in K-drama.
Ha Eun Gyeol’s journey to meet his father as a teenager is both unique and deeply moving. It beautifully shows that parents had dreams, insecurities, and struggles long before becoming Mom or Dad.
Ryeoun and Choi Hyun Wook’s chemistry brings this relationship to life—funny, heartfelt, and at times tear-jerking.
Through the time-travel twist, Eun Gyeol gets the rare chance to bridge the gap between generations, understanding his father’s dreams and struggles, and protecting him without changing who he’s meant to become. The drama gently reminds us that love between parents and children isn’t always easy to express, but understanding each other’s past can change everything.
It is so Fun , Warm, Bittersweet and Unforgettable.
No wonder this drama has such high ratings on MDL which I completely agree.
