Okay yes it is cheesy but the writing and characters are so good it comes across as endearing and not cringe which is hard to do. Also I believe it’s implied at the beginning of episode 7 they did consummate the marriage in episode 6 then in episode 10 when they are reminiscing about that night again they get a little extra embarrassed about it.

I really like how they got the high school back story out of the way in one episode so we can get to the fun stuff

My guess is they are misleading us to believe she did because it just feels so out of character for hiroko and this show

This show has a different vibe than anything I’ve seen in a long time. Very wholesome without being cheesy it’s perfect

Okay that makes sense. it was really driving me crazy why he would even keep them around when all they do is cause trouble

So I’m on episode 5 and I don’t understand why he has two other concubines. he doesn’t show them affection or sleep with them so why are they even around haha does that get explained at some point?

Yeah honestly the character depth of the painter is so weak he’s just a classic villain evil just because. And thinking about what this show could have been given a little more time is going to haunt me haha

Exactly every storyline needed a little more time and So many slice of life and romance dramas get the 16 episode treatment but this one gets 11 I just don’t understand haha

I truly believe this could have been a masterpiece if it was given 16 episodes. it’s such a shame it was rushed at the end

I really gave it my all to finish this one as it’s a popular beloved drama. It’s well done with a good cast unfortunately for me this show didn’t provoke a single emotion in me never funny or sad or exciting just flat and boring

this is fun so far but if she actually sleeps with the dad as well it’s going to be tough to continue watching especially knowing what he did to her family

I’m new to C dramas and in the middle of quite a few of them right now. One thing I’m finding myself not enjoying is the way they portray jealousy it’s just to over the top. sometimes off putting other times just very cringe episode 14 in this one being the perfect example. Watching the male leads actions damn near put me in my grave

I’m About half way trough and I’ve got mixed feelings on this one the acting is great the soundtrack rocks but ML is incredibly immature his behavior is actually hard to watch at times and it’s killing the romance for me

The ML is so annoying. He’s constantly getting jealous over her relationship with the second ML yet anytime she tries to get the slightest bit intimate with him he avoids her like the plague

Exactly. Just do flashbacks like every other show or start the story from the beginning and don’t use a cheap trick to hook the viewer with the spicy drama up front then immediately take us back

I’m 5 episodes in and I can’t stand the ML attitude he’s just a baby lashing out at everyone

My favorite romance drama of all time. When kim eun and ahn pan seok work together to make a show it just has a different vibe from other Kdramas

Even though I’d already seen the Korean version this still had the same emotional impact on me. Both are great

23 episodes to get back to where the story started that’s kinda wild. I’m debating putting it on hold or just powering through to get back to the good stuff but I appreciate the heads up haha
