Honestly I don’t blame either of them. this is just what the path to power and revenge looks like and I agree he’s kept his word but to a fault and he’s been painting himself in a even worse light. like keeping the real reason he killed her father secret from her to protect her feelings as just one example. He needs to be a little more selfish like she was in the beginning and tell her the hard truth. How can she understand the things he’s going through if he doesn’t tell her because he’s constantly trying to protect and spare her feelings?

You are not the only one. I’ve been watching light hearted or comedy shows after finishing episodes of this. As away to ease the mind haha

Yeah I personally feel like this is a more realistic depiction of how romance would have actually been back then. Just finding someone you can survive and work together with is good enough

Just finished episode 31 and they are miserable together. Divorce actually feels like the best option. credit to the writers because damn I feel the spark between them went out when her father died and with so few episodes left I don’t know how they pull off a believable happy ending but I’m excited to watch nonetheless

That’s no fun. With only 6 episodes left I think I’m good on the angst haha

FTY is getting everything she ever wanted but she was a little naive to think the path to power wouldn’t be this dangerous and now she is scared and no longer as confident in ZL as before do to his recent methods in handling things. she feels as if he might be changing into the very people they fought in the first place but unfortunately it’s to late to abandon ship now. hopefully in the next episode they can get back on the same page and find away out of this mess together

Damn FTY dad is truly evil doesn’t even love his own kids and even killed his wife just so he could stay in the capital and possibly get a high ranking position in the future. I can’t wait to watch both him and the Yu family go down

I wouldn’t consider him as a good character. Even if he wouldn’t ever hurt the FL at the end of the day he’s still a stalker

Miss Wu can’t catch a break. she found away to avoid getting married a couple times just to end up in a even worse situation and household

Not sure how I feel about the big twist in episode 6. I really like the dynamic of one love rival being a good guy and cop and the other a stalker. Playing with the viewers morals of who they think she should be with but now the cop is far worse than the ML. Giving the viewers a easy out for rooting for a very controversial character

I have no problem with them dragging it out as long as it makes sense with the story but now it just seems like a cheap way to cause drama

That actually had me frustrated like did he get brain damage since coming back to the capital. he’s suddenly so romantically inept. She literally could have told him exactly why she was upset and he still probably wouldn’t have understood lol

Okay I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like the writers haven’t given good enough reasons for the characters not to be married at this point and they are just dragging it out as a way to cause drama in later episodes and it’s getting annoying.

Yes exactly. It was definitely one of the best scenes of the show so far. I loved watching her stand by him without hesitation

Yeah YJX face when she burned the notes without a second thought was priceless he realized that’s the kinda faithful selfless wife he could have had. But he screwed up just to basically go against his mom

Well as the saying goes karma’s a bitch. Zhao ling went against his morals and tried to get ahead the easy way although he had good intentions it still backfired big time lesson learned he will be better for it and then we have fu ting yun being extremely naive thinking burning the confession notes she worked tirelessly to get would actually help Zhao ling I hope she realizes now these people can’t be bargained with that easily. she will also be better after this hard lesson

I don’t have a problem with him being interested in her again for his own selfish reasons which I’m sure that’s part of it but if he’s already catching feelings that just seems to fast and a little off. But I will say the very next episode the FL basically said his change in attitude was sudden and she can’t just forgive him because of a single apology and the note to help restore her reputation. So at Least his change in behavior was even addressed in show

He really is and the change in attitude towards her is to sudden feels like bad character writing.
