I actually like that long shot. Pretty sure it was a directional choice to do a long shot & to have the atmosphere of his home which felt cold, dark, and lonely to complement the despair that Seonyul was feeling. Eunwoo seems to express the complicated feeling just fine when they do a zoom in shot on him later
We all saw the 1st ep with Soohyun’s POV so that’s why we condone her killing the man who killed her son.
But Seonyul didn’t see what we saw, in his mind his dad was a good person who accidentally hit a kid (he’d believe all the excuses his dad gave in court) and didn’t deserve to be killed by Soohyun who showed no remorse & said she’d kill him again if given another chance. Seonyul didn’t know that his dad acted that way to Soohyun at the end since she didn’t say anything to her defense in court.

Kissing her dog form is the only way to break the curse which has been explained since the 1st ep & it’s just like the webtoon too so why would we find it weird?
