8,6?? see progress?? or was it already and I dont remember??
After the first 2 episodes it was like 7-something (wtf), then went up to 8.9, then down to 8.4 and then kept gradually getting higher during the last few weeks.
One episode in and Junho's BFF drives me nuts already. I hope she learns some boundaries or they give her a backstory…
I don't have any problem with the character's behaviour but I can't help but feel that the actress is a bit... below par, compared to everyone else. The rest of the cast are killing it with their layered and thought-out performances, while she just - there, being a pretty butterfly. I hope she gets a backstory soon too, otherwise it's quite a waste of main female lead (and for now it feels like Madam Jin is actually the mfl)
I don't know how to rate this drama. Honestly, I shouldn't give it more than 5 or 6 stars but I enjoyed the main - and the majority of supporting - characters so much that I can't rate THEM so low. I guess I'll just give it a miss.
Watching the episodes this week, there were so many high and lows.High- When Poong won the competition, cause…
I cringed and groaned when Poong decided to keep the asshole notebook thief but it's completely in his character. He forgives so easily. Sometimes I wish he was more mean spirited and clung to his peeves for longer -__- As for Hungry Wok, I can totally see Poong getting disappointed with the hotel kitchen soon after his triumphant return and asking Chil Seong to open HW again, and taking the merry band back to the small kitchen :)
Okay, a quick poll: does Poong really seem like that much of a bad boss to you folks? I get that he's strict and…
He's not even overly strict, just strict like any boss should be. He lets some things slide, like, we saw how anal he could be if he chose to (the morning when he found out about Sae Woo's family), but he usually isn't. When the mother crashed into 2 other guys and ruined a whole bunch of dishes, Poong didn't even scold her, his first words were to ask if she was okay. I honestly think it wouldn't have felt any different to her if he'd scolded her in private, she'd still be traumatized and offended, and want to leave. Simply because she's not used to any criticism, public or not.
Was anyone else a bit annoyed when Sae Woo's mom told Chil Seong that he wasn't good enough for her daughter?…
Not just a bit, I was hella annoyed by her newly awoken elitism. I can kiiiinda understand where she's coming from when it's about Chil Seong, since it's an established fact now that people are generally super prejudiced against him and his boys. But Poong? So they have 7 customers and an offer of a better job and suddenly she forgets who hired her purely out of kindness ('because you are cute') when she was at her lowest. 'I'd rather we all go live in a jail with your father than see you date Poong'? What kind of infantile mindset is that!
Let's see if the writer makes it right :)
