This is very nice of you. I am starting it because I missed the hype when it was airing. I did not know Duke su was in this. Although i heart that novel so much to me his best acting where ha gave it all is "The Scent Of Time" he was even more amazing there.

The novel endend exactly as it was on epispde 29 when she sat in the wing to read after sending the birthday noodles and at the bonus scene when he receives it. The FL was a transmigrator and regressor. She had read the novel and regressed as the villaines of the novel she read.

For the ones that read the novel, which is only 98 chapters we know the real ending is at episode 29 when she seats in the swing to read after sending the birthday noodles. I understand the alternate drama ending because they could not accept the regression or transmigration. Notice how they kept emphasizing that you could not have a do over in life. I liked both endings, i think the drama ending is the real dream ending because the novel end was realistic of the distance between them that could not be overcomed. I think people feel hurt because the drama accomplished what rarely most dramas fail to do so, the audience generally caring and relating to the characters. This is a visual and auditive drama masterpiece and I could almost smell the incense by the end.

I understand the hurt of the MDL'rs in the comment all actors did such a a magnificent job specially the supposedly "villainess" Xi Wu and Rong Zhou that you felt part of the drama and felt your heart ache with longing but...

This mini drama is worth it and the leads have other interesting dramas as well.

💯% agree. Would have enjoyed that plot twist. The foreshadowing of the 1st episode how she said his revenge should be and that he truly felt it not for revenge.
