Like I commented on the previous post before me, I really like the story. It's has a solid set up and characters have strong motivations. It talks a lot about our filial relationships and the toxicity of some families. How they control their children and manipulate them because "it's for their own good" and things like that. I really like it and wish the ending is also satisfying.
I can push aside the weirdness of the main couples relationship (it also makes me uncomfortable sometimes 😅) as Pon and Nychaa, for me, have great chemistry. Other side couples are great too!
I do agree that the ML was weaker in the first half, but it's his mother. For us, as viewers, we know what his mother did to Da and Pa, but he doesn't because Madame Nuan only shows her good side to him (also manipulates him), which is a big issue honestly. Aside from that, I also think he somehow sort of believes that his mother's not a good person because of what happened to Da. Hear me out, he accepted Pa's proposal even though he knew that she'd make their lives a living hell. I think he's doubting his mother's explanations of what happened to Da, that's why he'd accept Pa's request. He didn't have to marry her and can always defend his mother, but he didn't so I think he has some doubts.
Some might say that "why is he always believing his mother then? They trapped his wife in the storage room." And I get that not all have a good relationship with their parents, bit he did. So I think that he would not jump to conclusions and instantly blame his mother. As I said before, his mother always shows her good side to him. And also Madame Nuan constantly threatens Da to not tell Nai, so he wouldn't know the real story behind her ab**e.
Now that he knows that his mother's a bad person, he'll defend the FL 😊 (though I found it pretty sh***y that he found out about his mother's behavior and didn't tell the girl. I know that he'd give up custody but still 😒.) I think a divorce and time skio would be the best for them. Pa just graduated and should live her life first, without thinking about revenge. And if they do get together in the end, after a few years, I think it would be less weird. I don't know, just my two cents on this. Hehe
All in all, I think my comment/review is super long, so I might get back to this after the story is over. For now, I still really like the story and I hope you will too! 😊
Although, the timeline for romantic development is so fast (considering the previous relationship), it feels kind…
Agree with this comment. I also think that it has a solid set up and they have strong motivations in doing what they're doing. That's why I'm kinda liking this drama. Hope the ending won't be dissapointing! 🙏
Came back to this drama again after a few months, all I have to say is that I wished all of them died in the present so they could all meet and reincarnate again 😭😭😭
All in all, a good drama... Some draggy parts at the middle eps, but still got me hooked each week with the cliffhangers. I remembered that I always squealed when a glimpse of the past 1000 years were shown. And when they finally showed the whole backstory, it was such a great payoff.
Question:- Hwal died as a Bulgasal, which means he did not have a soul, but he still reincarnated. How?Is it because…
Just a theory I found... Take it with a grain if salt. Two Bulgasals share a single soul, which means that one of them can still reincarnate when they die. Since Eul Tae's original soul is with Sang Un, Hwal was the one to reincarnate...
I think the prophecy is about the Sahaman. She also has lost her memory and does not remember anything before…
I could either be Hwal or Woon because when they arrived, the shaman said "The person who has lost their memory is now here" (Nonverbatim). And the people who just arrived when she said that were Hwal and Woon. I strongly believe its Hwal, btw. He doesn't remember his past past life.
Unpopular opinion (I guess) . I feel like there should be romance here to cause conflict between the leads. Gosh! They are going to make you like the leads together. Then at the end, one of them has to kill the other. Thus, having emotional connection between the two is necessary for us to also feel bad for the characters decisions at the end.
For me, I like how the story is going. It's a bit of a slow burn, but every episode makes me yearn for more. The plot twists and revelations in each episode is *chef's kiss*. I'm really invested in the romance now, but I know I shouldn't because of what I said in the previous paragraph.
I think this drama deserves a higher rating. Maybe it's too dark for people or the marketing is weak. I've only seen this show accidentally and am obsessed now. Hope to continue with better episodes!
Both twins are reincarnations of the bulgasal. The surviving twin has the soul. The one that died had the memories
In the trailer, I remembered that the reincarnated shaman said that when the memories come back to her, everyone will die. This means that she will still have the chance to get tge memories. She may also have the scar.
I really liked this drama. Funny af from beginning to end. I watched Game Payabaht before this and was really surprised from the difference in tone and themes between the two dramas and how the leads pulled off their intense chemistry and made it work.
I highly recommend this drama to anyone who would just like to laugh and fall inlove with the two leads.
I really liked the first half of this drama, it was fun and the leads' chemistry was great( would love to see them in another lakorn). The second half of the drama ( after episode 8) was too much for me. I hated the constant interruptions, it's like something very important is to be revealed then, someone interrupts, it's very annoying and makes the story too draggy.
The villain was crazy as f*** and I just wanted her to die a horrible death or be sent to an asylum or whatnot. The ex-boyfriend with the crazy-ass hair didn't deserve a happy ending. Bow shouldn't have forgiven him for all the crazy things he did, he was an adulterer, a cheater, and a liar. Feels like his marriage to the Pra'ek's sister is his Karma.
I stopped at episode 14, then went straight to the end just to know what happens between them. Such Deus Ex Machina with the lightning and earthquake shiz, they couldn't think of other ways to find her XD. That sh*t was funny. The only saving grace this lakorn has is the main leads' chemistry and acting ability. I also like the other couple, the friend of Bow and the friend of Tos, they were funny. I also liked the main OST, especially the saxophone part, it was so soothing.
