End of Episode 1 he mentions they're not blood-related, and she's been calling him Tatsu so far. Looks like she's Miku's daughter and Tatsu's step-daughter.
A pretty weak film and adaptation. Not a lot of thought put into the stories chosen + how they flow together in the first half (I mean, why on earth would Kaguya get a fever just from Shirogane calling her a pervert?), and the comedy fell flat for me.
is this connected with the movie? or just a side story?
As someone who's seen both, you don't need to see this to understand the movie (or vice versa). The drama was primarily made to promote the movie/garner interest, really. So just a side story.
Saw this couple of days ago, couldn't help but sign in into my account after 84 years and leave a (lengthy) review as a big fan of the original. Don't have high expectations and everyone should be fine. It was a simple fun movie, I enjoyed it overall :D
The second half was just downright weird.
