Hahah it's okay. I went back to confirm it when I was first watching the ep, because I'm usually paranoid about stuff getting left around lol, so I was so glad they didn't just leave the bag there. Also when Kinn arrives and checks the uncle, there's nothing else lying around either.
I've heard about a section of people hating it (because rivalry? Idk) but honestly anyone calling themselves a BL fan, who doesn't watch or hates it, is really just missing out on a lot of happiness. Trust me bruh you need to unite in your love for BL here, a genre so precious teehee.

What I loved about the show--and this story had the romance as highlight for me, I can't speak for others--was the chemistry between the two, how their relationship grew and how they were so good to each other. I liked how the drama had no evil characters, and had plain old interpersonal relationships. The supporting characters were all so logical and warm and funny. The two leads were really, really, really good. I love Yang Zhi and Li Xian! I can't watch them with anyone else now yikes. Thee leads' careers were really well sketched and shown, I loved how both of them were experts in their own fields, a match indeed, and i have become a fan of CTF. Yeah the breakups and getting together without even talking about it, in the beginning, was a bit off. I just couldn't stop shipping the adorable couple and forgave the tiny flaws. This drama has a lot of rewatch value, if you skip or fast forward the old story bits, which can kinda get repetitive.

I loved the show, reasons for which I will recount after this. So,I agree with parts of what you said. Yes, the flashbacks and past were a bit too much. They were repetitive and so had to be skipped many times, the drama could have been more succinct without them. The next thing, their love story was a bit sudden in the beginning which should have been explained from HSY's pov later in retrospect because clearly he was interested or he wouldn't have led her on. Also, her following him to such extents was a bit unrealistic, so was the fact that he's 30 and inexperienced in dating. We had to stretch our imagination to allow these things.
