I don't have any problem with the cast... As long as they give justice to their characters... However I'm only…
I totally agree, the reason I loved the book was because of Shen Miao's character. However, Wu Lei playing Xie Jing Jing needs a strong counterpart to play the female lead. Or else I can also see the series becoming male-centric.
This almost made me faint! I can totally envision Wu Lei as Xie Jing Jing in character, well if we ignore the author's obsession over Xie Jing Jing's looks that is! :P However I am a little afraid for Shen Miao's role played by Jiang Yi Yi... will she be able to pull off Shen Miao's character?? After all the reason I read the book was because of Shen Miao's character... If they make Shen Miao to be a simpering featherhead.... I most probably will boycott the drama. Shen Miao is after all a character who became who she was in the novel after going through a lot! And with the Chinese authorities frowning upon transmigration themes... I dunno how they are gonna show why and how Shen Miao's character changes to be so strong!
Oh how I really love a good, smart and strong female lead. I'm also glad how she doesn't suddenly become dumb/incapable…
Totally agree with you! I like how the female lead doesn't cry even in difficult situations, she tries to figure out a solution. I love her character! After watching tons of CN dramas with weepy female leads, I finally found relief watching this drama. Although a bit draggy in the starting, but the later parts of the series i.e. eps 20 and above, I have repeatedly watched 4 times.
Did a double-take when I found that this series has been adopted from Mo Bao Fei Bao's - One Life, One Incarnation – Beautiful Bones. I am thinking about whether to take up the series or not... cuz the screenwriter is Mo Bao Fei Bao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The novel was set in the modern era.... so I know the ending will be sad in this one..... maybe I will put this on hold till the sequel is out!
And here is one of my forever favourite quotes from the novel to share with you all: Beautiful bones. Rare in this world. Those with bone do not have skin. Those with skin do not have bones. Most people’s eyes are shallow, seeing only the skin-deep appearance and not the ‘bones,’ the appearance of the inside.”
I am on the 2nd episode and I am going to drop this, the reason being the assistant of Dr. Qin. Her loud make-up and the director's excessive focus on her face. For god's sake, it's a forensic drama!! Did the entire team lose their bearings when filming her?? Oh! Also, Dr. Qin keeps talking to the dead bodies.....duh(I can't stop rolling my eyes!). The first season set the bar so high that I expected another great season, but I have to say that the rest of the seasons are too bad. If you take my advice: DON'T WATCH THIS SEASON!
Yes we are all praising this series with great words which it deserves, but can you people also please talk about the cuteness overload scenes between SXR & CFT?? SXR's cuteness is killing me!!!
