Yeah i really hope that they won't drag the love triangle and haesun's ex bf for too long in the story but unfortunately its 16 ep so i feel as if they will. Honestly i will just watch it for jcw and shs. Premise of the story seems very cliche hopefully they will have atleast a decent story which can drag on for 16 ep

Melting me softly was probably his lowest point. Not that he was bad in it but the show was trash and it didn't even feel like i was watching JCW. Anyone could hv done that role(except the kisses 😜)

Yeah he's incredibly talented. Perhaps he didn't want to waste an opportunity like healer and k2 and after that he got typecasted into those kind of roles. Also I wonder how many top shows similar to empress Ki have been there. Maybe he didn't find those good enough or already committed to other roles. But yeah you are completely right about his wasted talent due to poor choice/lack of projects. I am relatively new to the kdrama scene but aren't most kdramas lacking in depth? It's totally possible that he didn't get a project like empress Ki

Yeah it's kinda true, but i feel most of his pre military dramas were huge hits. Post military he intentionally stayed away from action and most of the writing of his romance shows were below average. Still i guess people (including me) liked lovestruck in the city and if you wish upon me. But yeah most of his post military works didn't create much hype. At the end of the day, he has been one of the biggest stars for a decade so i guess it doesn't really matter (people recognise his talent)
