The only thing I didn't like is how when White stopped pretending to be Black, he suddenly became super soft and submissive... The way that Sean and Black/White were portrayed equal before was the best part of the show for me, a breath of fresh air after all those stereotypical top-bottom couples.
Honestly, as it is the first introduction of omegaverse to live-action, I really wanted to like it, but the writing was so bad... Most of the time I was cringing or bored.
Wtf was that when he said to Li Ming "it's not enough being poor, now you are also gay", and then in the very next scene tried to prove to his sister that being gay is nothing wrong?????
Finally we get something healthy. I love BL, but I cringe so bad, when I see internalized homophobia or worse shit. Like sometimes I literally want to take out some parts for it to be more enjoyable and not triggering lol. Thank you for the review, I was doubting if I should watch this, now I will.
I can't understand how people are calling this the best show they have ever seen... I mean maybe it's not bad, but some things are pure SA. I recommend not watching if you have any triggers related to that. It just sends the wrong message about the LGBTQ+ community and it's very sad... It was written by a woman and -don't get me wrong- I am not aware of their sexuality, but it really feels like it was made by a straight person with very limited understanding of non-hetero relationships. I will try to watch the show til the end in hopes it gets better, but so far very concerning and disappointing.
This drama was so comfy, so lovely, and so non-toxic. It's a very rare thing for a bl. This is one of my favorites now. it gave me so many positive emotions
Style: *looking at Fadel as if he's undressing him in his head*
We stan Stockholm syndrome
I will try to watch the show til the end in hopes it gets better, but so far very concerning and disappointing.
