Iqiyi doesn't promote the drama, I remember I was looking for this everywhere when it first came out while at the same time you have Bailu's drama being promoted everywhere even in my country it has billboard, it has its own homepage and lots of variety show related. Nothing against Bailu but It's just some show has more marketing money than others even on the same platform.

Dropped at ep 7, thanks for the recommandation but when I see 2 guys flirting, it's a big turn off for me.

They just changed him in that last episode, just 1ep, I thought there would be a character development, he just become smart, act like a leader, a menacing landlord and a skilled negotiator overnight in one single ep, like what ??? that's way too fast and way too confusing

The writing is bad, The ML 's character is a mess, yesterday he was so stupid and for no apparent reason he just become the smartest one, that's like me never learning math and wake up the next morning becoming a genius at school 🤣

YES I AM A HUMAN AND YES I'VE WATCHED ALL 4EP SINCE ALP IS MY FAVORITE SO YES I HAD HIGH HOPES, here's my review:

ACTING: More than half the actors have bad acting including the male lead
OST : Average at best
CGI: Very bad especially animals
Cinematography: Average
Scenes : lots of illogical scenes (Ex: jumping off a cliff and then floating at a different place not down the cliff )
STORY: Forcibly throwing and early relationship/romance/love triangle for no apparent reason or context
Bonus: Misleading the viewers telling it's related to ALP while it's clearly not, changing most of the names

Conclusion : DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING OR TOO MUCH, JUST WATCH ZHAO LUSI THAT WAY YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED LIKE ME.

Sorry but I Quit, 13ep in that village and still nothing, no trajectory to the story, apart from beautiful visual and beautifull face, this drama feels empty, very sad and very slow, Good luck to those that enjoys, I'm gonna pass

I felt his pain and sorrow, his love and hatred, his passion, his ambition, his responsabilities and burden. Li Lianhua is a character I can relate every day of the year, Lotus Casebook is one of the best Wuxia of all times, and certainly the best of this year.
