Yea, i saw clips of the trailer and really liked the acting and camerawork but then i watched the whole 11 mins and realized its not for me. I mean sure, all of us have different thoughts on the matter. Its just weird to me cause they grew up as brothers you know? Its not like WQ was just a benefactor who paid for WY's upbringing. I can't imagine how brotherly affection can turn into love. For instance, i had no problem with Stay with Me cause they were step brothers but did not even know each other their whole lives so there's room for any kind of relationship to grow. Or in History crossing the line where the second couple was friends first (and they each had crushes on the other) but their parents ended up getting married.
This however is the same as history 4, where they grew up as brothers and the younger fell in love. Its just really really weird cause you had a whole familial relationship.

I know everyone is gonna say its not incest and give the argument that he took in a homeless kid and all that but its still incest. Sure let's not call it incest by the standard yall seem to have but its still "semi" incestuous. Yea they do not have any blood relation or even any step parent relation in the picture but they're still "brothers". The homeless kid grew up as his brother after he took him in. So its still weird that he fell in love with someone who's essentially his sibling. Just cause its a drama world doesn't make it any less weird. But to each their own i guess. It's still a piece of media and people are gonna enjoy it either way. I just feel its only right to acknowledge the premise and still enjoy it. Taiwan has always pushed incest and semi incest stuff and its really crazy to push such narratives about the community constantly. Then again most of their stuff comes from novels 🤷‍♀️
I love Taiwanese BLs just as much as the next person cause they bring us great stories and quality but its okay to say something is wrong when its wrong.
