OMG. I just finished watching My Journey to You, and I must say that Lu Yu Xiao's acting was outstanding. She portrayed Sangguan Qian exceptionally well. The last time an actress moved me like this was when I watched Zhao Lusi in The Long Ballad, and I remember thinking that she would become a top actress, which she did. Now, I see the same potential in Lu Yu Xiao. Her performance in the series was truly remarkable, and I believe she has a bright future ahead of her. She just needs to choose a good script. What's particularly impressive is that when you watch the behind-the-scenes footage of MJTY and many of her videos, Lu Yu Xiao comes across as sweet, innocent, and bubbly, which is a complete contrast to her character in MJTY. This versatility in her acting skills is a testament to her talent and potential in the C-ent. She's not only a great actress but also has fantastic chemistry with her co-stars. I noticed it in MJTY with her lead and also with another actor in variety show videos I've come across.
The Untamed was watched by Emma Myers (Enid from Wednesday). She followed the The Untamed cast on Instagram, including Yibo, Zoey Meng, Yu Bin, Marius, and Xuan Lu, so I assumed she watched it.
For those who are wondering why a giant whale appears in the dramas you've seen. It was known as Kun(鲲) in ancient Chinese legends. According to Baidu, Kun refers to a large fish in the great sea of the north in the legend. The size of the Kun is unknown to thousands of miles; it can change into a flying bird named Peng, whose wings spread like clouds in the sky, and the Peng migrates with the rough waves of the sea to the southern ocean. So yeah, since it's a Chinese legend, we'll always see it in dramas like Immortal Samsara and LBFAD.
Is this a comedy? Am so confused…am sad now, seems all the republican era dramas I have chosen to watch are…
I think this one is unique. Fantasy in the Republican era. If you want a series set in the Republican era with a hot male lead, you should watch Maid's revenge. If you want a smart male and female lead, watch Fall In Love.
I'm not sure why you guys dislike the female lead. Her emotions are valid. He kept her in the dark about everything. He's protecting her behind her back, but he's cruel and harsh in front of her. How is she to know all of this? He handcuffed her and pointed a gun at her during their first meeting. He teaches her how to use a gun in that way, which gives her nightmares. He kept her identity, causing her to be bullied in the mansion. Of course, he's a bad person in her POV. I know it's for her own good and he has good intentions, but his approach is completely wrong, which is why the female lead constantly misunderstands everything.
I was hooked after only two episodes. Joo Dan Tae has not changed. He always nailed his role. I love the drama's intensity and mystery. Putting orchid flowers on the victims reminds me of a movie I saw when I was younger in which she put Cattleya flowers in each of her victims. The movie was nice, but I had forgotten the title.
I think it's more coz the logo on the jade that he found is related to the Yu family (this is according to information…
Yeah that's one of the reason also. I mean Wuyuan as a culprit didn't even crossed his mind? Shifu really has no intention of telling BFX everything because he accidentally said some words, but he quickly changes the subject. I also noticed that after Shifu died why all of them didn't even see Wuyuan? He's literally in front of all the people and Lanxi and Fenxi didn't even see him. I guess the chaos that takes made them not notice the surrounding, and Lanxi's mind was focused on saving Fengxi. It takes Episode 36 for them to know that WuYuan went to Tianshuang sect that time. They really didn't see him! I'm really expecting Lanxi will connect the dots. Wuyuan is not the good person that people believe he is when he assists Fengju in inflicting harm on him. And Wuyuan's presence at the time Shifu died could lead Lanxi to suspect him. Lanxi's character has the intelligence to solve everything, but the screenwriters limit him. Wuyuan had them all in the palm of his hands.
Why can't Shifu share his thoughts to the two formidable martial artists? I'm waiting for him to bring up what he discovers in his investigation at the end of Episode 31. He considers Fengxi to be his discipline and daughter, and he cannot even tell her about his worries, but he immediately informs Wuyuan, an outsider. I guess Wuyuan's background as a finest gentry and a person who wishes for world peace causes Shifu to share his thoughts, but isn't Lanxi also a finest gentry and a good person? I already know what will happen to him after he tells Wuyuan everything, and I'm right.
There are a lot of attractive people in this drama. I'm currently watching Episode 25 of this drama, and it's really good. My only regret is that I enabled the Wetv comments section. There are so many spoilers.
Even though there are obvious similarities, they will never say it is inspired by Chinese drama or anything related…
I'm also reading manhua, and the plot device of an assassin reincarnating in a useless body is a common plot in Chinese novels and manhua. There are also xianxia and wuxia-related korean webtoons and manwha. So what's the problem with admitting that it's inspired by Chinese culture? They're even turning a blind eye to the series squid game, which is blatantly ripping off kaiji, as the gods will, and battle royale. I've read other comments on various social media platforms, and each time cnetz raised their voice and expressed their concerns, people assumed they were exaggerating and being outrageous. It's utterly ridiculous.
than xianxia, this drama reminds me more of wuxia drama(ex. the legend of condor heroes 2017). The plot…
Even though there are obvious similarities, they will never say it is inspired by Chinese drama or anything related to China. You are aware of the situation with them. In the eyes of the rest of the world, China is always the one who copies everything. I'm still going to watch it because Jaewook is in it.
Anyone who has read the move know if it’s a happy ending? I can’t take my eyes of this drama and I will bawl…
Women from a brothel or a performer usually end up as a concubine only in the chinese historical novels I've read. Pan Er used to be a pariah. Ouyang explained in the drama why he can't marry Pan Er as a legal wife because she has a history of being a pariah. If the husband is a noble or has rank, marrying a noble woman as a legal wife is good for his reputation. Sometimes the emperor or the consort of an emperor has a say in someone's marriage, as was the case with Ouyang. Hopefully, they don't get in the way of Gu Qian Fan. I'm also looking forward to seeing how this story progresses. With so many people interfering and so many reasons, what will he do to make Pan her legal wife
I'm not even a fan of this actress and i think she's very beautiful. And this is a well written drama soo far....we'll…
Chenxiao, a Chinese actor with children and a wife, is already a veteran of the Chinese entertainment industry. He's already made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He nailed his role of having chemistry with the fl despite having children and a wife. Lmao. Girl, why are you hating on the cast when you only watched 6 out of 40 episodes? You just hate LYF
Bah. I cant stand this kind of drama where every girl is prettier than the FL. Jelly Lin smoking hot. The 40 year-old…
Jelly is also beautiful, but she did not steal the show from LYF. Actually, the way she played the pipa made me chuckle. She just put her fingers there and pretended to play, but she wasn't even convincing. I can't help but stare at LYF in every scene because she's so beautiful, and her voice is so soothing to the ears. Every review I've read has been positive, including one from AvenueX, a discerning reviewer. And they have a douban high score because of these positive reviews. I like the plot with the three women trying to survive in a harsh world and where the FL is not a dumb damsel in distress, and many other people seem to like it as well based on their reviews.
Zhang Ruo Yun and Liu Yi Fei need to work in a drama together. China needs to make a remake of Kluen Cheewit with…
KluenCheewit is my absolute favorite. China has already made an adaptation of the Thai movie Crazy Little Thing Called Love, so maybe there is still a chance that another Thai series or movie will be adapted into a series by them.
