You couldn't convince me this wasn't written by a 14 year old boy in the 90's. It is hard to say how bad it is. The gross-out humor is so relentlessly unfunny, it t is too basic to even be classified as frat-boy humor. The FL does a decent job pulling faces for the camera without overacting, which is pretty remarkable since she is having to work off visual gags fairly often.

What an utterly magnificent, sordid weirdo Sumin is.

The high-pitched mindless screeching of this creature is unnecessary.

There were one or two subplots that were just unnecessary and should've been trimmed. It was probably just to give hollow characters dimension, but it drags the pace down to hell. Overall, it is very 201xish fantasy fluff. Those runway wigs were unforgivable, though.

I will miss the absolute mayhem Of Okada in this role.

wow Ryochi was trash for the utter lack of reaction to that person having groomed his child.

This is such a great story. I am really enjoying the performances because it is done so well by all the actors. but also that is not cluttered up with an annoying ost cloying at every emotional beat. This is not typical of a kdrama so the work truly shines. Well done.

This is so accurate. The actress remains with an expression she is always smelling her upper lip. It is unfortunate and distracting

This is simply the best drama. Moment to moment, character to character it delivers a great story with no wishy washy, nonsense plot. The mains are both terribly broken, but find their way through and to each other. There is just a whole lot of satisfying adulting in this drama and I am unaccuntomed to seeing that from both villains and mains. The sfl (Shiori) and sml (Jojimo) are admirable as well. I want them to live their best life. You can’t lose watching this extremely tidy drama. 5 stars.

Just passing by but this poster looks like the movie is employing blackface, and here we are , this was made in 2021. WTF?

This story just does not stop punching you in the gut till the very end. A+ material for the plot and the actors did a great job. The mama was a twisted role with so many secrets and I think Kitagawa Keiko was awesome in it. Naomi was also suitably creepy in her role. The child leads were compelling if overly saccharine at times. That was necessary to render the sheer villainous cruelty of their circumstances. Overall extremely well done and I have not the slightest interest in either the anime or the manga to see it alternatively presented.

Try to get me to care about this anymore. You can’t. It is a farce. At one point there is a musical number. This series exists to introduce a never ending supply of weirdos who are easily their own worst enemy, and it gets boring.

This is dark and chock full of broken people, but it is good.

This is the most helpful and concise summary. I came looking for this at ep.8. So many people are just out here bleating unnecessary things. TYSM

meh. I went to the episode guide hoping this would get better but sadly, it shows more of the same. The series is very slow and very one note. Since no one can be bothered to comment after a few episodes and each shot is subsequent screen cap is essentially the same, this is a drop.

I am up to episode 6 and the worst of all traits of the FL is the fact that not only does she fall for every lie people tell about themselves, she can't even discern when they lie about her own abilities. I can't believe she went back into it thinking she was the only one who can help Akiyama. Girl please. You are not that man's savior. Your are the bane of his existence.

These people are so beautiful. Casting was excellent, and everyone was well styled

@help What part of YMMV is unclear. This response belongs in it's own comment thread where you offer your own faceted opinion about the media. My comment is not a writing prompt, and there is no reason to comment on my personal character, so just calm down. Everyone bullied is not this insufferable. Maybe you were bullied.

My criticism of the FL of this drama is pretty harsh, but it is based on what the ML says from the get- go and proves to be true. The FL needed to rehab her loser mentality, not her face. She gets surgery and unsurprisingly there are no personality benefits conferred by it; she is still whiny, self-loathing and timid to the point of complete impotence. She lacks even rudimentary social skills. These are all really unattractive traits that have nothing to do with her face and stay with her when she becomes "pretty". In truth she is just boring, like a million other people, but she is a fool for thinking that the only reason she was disliked was because of her face. YMMV. Personality matters most.

I am at episode 11 and it is becoming increasingly hilarious that team leader can NEVER catch anyone in a foot race. I mean he is on the struggle bus for real. Has he ever made an arrest?
