The drama wasn’t perfect but the good parts outweighs the bad for me. It took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I think the idea and acting are there but the drama just didn’t execute it as well. Loved the acting, ost and cinematography. Big kudos to Lee Seyoung and Na Inwoo - if it wasn’t for their talents and chemistry I probably wouldn’t have liked the drama as much as I did. Their crying/emotional scenes brought me to tears and their happy scenes made me smile like a crazy person. The ep12 ending with them lying on the snow/ the dialogue/ the camera panning out and showing the ‘house’ is hands down one of the most beautiful scene in any drama.
I really loved what Yeonsoo said to Kanghee “How about becoming a little simpler? If you live worrying too much, you end up missing out on things.” I think the drama was trying to convey that if you spend your days worrying too much about the negative things you miss out on the good things. It’s never too late to change, there’s someone out there who cares about you and cheering you on (Yeonsoo always being there for Kanghee). And that person/people can change(remodel) the course of your life.
Love every single thing you wrote. I think ppl aren’t giving Seyoung and Inwoo enough credit. They’re nailing…
Acting is top for me on this one as well. If they had just tweaked the script around and eliminated some unnecessary scenes and characters then I think it might have appealed to more ppl but I guess the ppl who are still around and like it are the specials ones who actually have good taste in dramas imo. lol.
I, too, wish they had shown more of the gang. Love SE, broke my heart when he showed his picture with KH's mother.
Yeah there’s too many characters and only 12eps. So they kind of when all over the place at moments trying to incorporate everyone. If they had just focused only on the FL&ML, the dad and the friends then it would have been even better. But it doesn’t detract enough for me and I still really like it contrary to what everyone says.
Ending was heartbreaking but necessary. She had to tell him what happened although I’m stumped as to why a teddy…
I’m glad the ep11 preview isn’t the last ep preview. Ep11 looks like they’re putting it all out there and working to fix/heal from it. I hope they can address a lot next ep and then it’s more peaceful last ep 🙏🏼. Can’t believe it’s already coming to an end..
Gonna wait until ep11 to make any conclusions about the car accident. It can’t be Kanghee’s fault right..…
Not sure if I read the correct translation but I heard someone say in the novel it’s not Kanghee’s fault. I totally agree I really like the build up to the ep10 big reveal. Once she finds out about the dad being sick I hope they can all finally heal and everything will be all tied up and we get our happy ending.
The actor who plays Kanghee’s dad Choi Min Soo is such a good actor. I also really loved Seung Eon’s sibling relationship with Kanghee. I wish they would have shown more of that and the dad’s background in the earlier episodes instead of more random scenes of the 2ML. Hoping they can give everyone the proper closure the last 2 eps.
I thought the ending of episode 8 could not be topped. But ending of episode 10 overtook it and how. Episode 8…
Love every single thing you wrote. I think ppl aren’t giving Seyoung and Inwoo enough credit. They’re nailing this role so much. They make me feel so much for these characters. I can’t imagine anyone else playing them.
After 10 eps I’m still loving/enjoying most of it. The ending of ep10 was so beautifully acted I can’t even…
Gonna wait until ep11 to make any conclusions about the car accident. It can’t be Kanghee’s fault right.. and she’s just a kid so it’s not even her fault, she didn’t know what she was doing?? I hope they explain everything well and hope the dad makes it out in the end. And for the ppl saying they broke up, they didn’t break up yet. They’re still wearing their rings- the ep11 preview seems to indicate they’re still together.
After 10 eps I’m still loving/enjoying most of it. The ending of ep10 was so beautifully acted I can’t even describe how much I love it. And the dialogue they have “You're not just my first love to me but you're my everything, my beginning and end” chefs kiss. Yeonsoo is Kanghee’s Savior and Kanghee is Yeonsoo’s everything / his happiness.
I’m not a Lee Seyoung or Na Inwoo fan but I am now after watching this drama. Everything about their chemistry and acting is perfection. I can’t say it enough.
I love a drama where we can feel so many emotions while watching it and this one does it for me. From happiness to anger/frustration and then to sadness. Honestly a drama should make you feel all these things - if it ain’t doing it then why bother, it must be boring or bland. Or the storyline is so simple and the characters don’t actually have any depths to them. I love all the character imperfections in this one - it actually makes me feel something.
I’ve grown so attached to Kanghee and Yeonsoo. They’ve faced so many challenges and difficulties throughout their lives and deserves only good things moving forward. Sad to say goodbye next week. I hope and pray the ending doesn’t disappoint.
The next ep previews are so sweet, I almost got a cavity. The best part of them knowing each other for so long.. when there’s the transition to dating it feels so comfortable and natural. I love how they can speak comfortably (without formal speech) and be playful. And gotta give it to Seyoung and Inwoo for their chemistry cause it’s overflowing.
Sigh… I hate it too! When I read some of the comments I’m like are we watching the same drama. Are you guys…
Are you my long lost twin? Cause we think so much alike 😂
Yup it’s so sad that people can’t appreciate how complex/deep these characters are. And not the typical ones we usually see. The funniest part is the people’s harsh criticism of Kanghee parallels to the drama cause the toxic town folks are similar to them 👀
There’s 4 episodes left but I hope it’s a happy one.
Yes, yes and yes to everything you said. I am slightly conflicted about that. I want them to go to Seoul and be away from those townspeople but then I kinda want them to built their house there. I don’t know… being away from those toxic ppl seems for the best though. After everything they’ve been through it will be so emotionally to see them get their happy ending.
It's far from perfect but I don't understand the low rating. I'm finding myself watching this over Love Scout.
@Tibbs you are an angel 🫶🏻, thanks for writing this. This drama is definitely an underrated gem. Glad people like you actually understand and have a higher thinking capacity. It makes me happy!!

Personally I don’t think the drama is cliche. I think it’s unique and Kanghee is complex. The drama and the FL are like onions, there’s many layers to it and you gotta peel / keep watching to find out. Which makes it interesting imo. Keeps you intrigued…I feel like it’s more worthwhile to watch something where it’s complicated /there’s problems and character developments and to see how they overcome it in the end. If you watch ep6&ep8 it explains a lot about the different circumstances of their relationship. She’s not that bad.. I swear.
Honestly I have a lot where I disagree with the ratings. lol. Not gonna name them all but if I can’t watch beyond 4 episodes then I won’t rate it since it’s unfair to give a score when I didn’t finish the drama. There’s plenty of dramas out there that you can just guess it got the higher ratings purely based on who’s in the cast.

Nah imo from what we’ve seen so far it deserves at least an 8 (or higher). The acting, chemistry, ost, cinematography and the overall vibe deserves a higher rating. I’ve seen worser drama get a higher score. But we’ll see how the final epi goes, that will determine it for me.
Ooh, I don’t know what to think about this. His mother is so annoying and can’t see her own faults. The town’s…
Hoping they stay strong against the town people. Not sure if it’s the correct translation but I saw the synopsis of ep9 says they run away to Seoul. So maybe we can get some fun dating scenes next episode away from those crazy ppl.
