They are an overrated bunch. No doubt about that.

I'll tell you to watch solely for Kim seon ho who plays HJP. Most likely that you will end up watching only his scenes skip the entire episode. You will finish the drama in record time because you'd want to see how his character ends up. Because the rest of the plot is tedious, frustrating and characters particularly the ML are annoying.
So yes this drama will definitely get your blood boiling lol

You should watch infact I wouldn't want you to miss out on a character like Han Jipyeong and the relationship he shares with a certain grandmother in this drama.

Why did they put a line like that knowing that it will make viewers love HJP more and hate NDS more than they already do

The lesson for drama producers here is that don't take your viewers for granted. People watching your drama are smart and they won't hold back their critique. Just because you put two stars together won't do shit if the characters they play are unlikeable. Concentrate more on the plot and likeability of characters particularly the main leads if you want to deliver a wholesome drama.

And always cast KSH as the ML HAGAHAHAHAHA THATS THE BIGGEST LESSON I THINK BCOZ DAYUM THE BOY CAN LOOK HANDSOME AND ACT. THATS A DEADLY AF COMBO

I think majority lost their mind over a character like HJP being used as an emotional punching bag for dodal endgame. You put an almost perfect character like that as the SL with unlikeable exceptionally flawed leads with no character development hate is bound to happen. Blame the inconsistent writing, plot holes and underdeveloped characters. Not the fans

When there a LT fandom wars are bound to happen. And the fact that HJP had an overwhelming majority on his side just made it difficult for the smaller dodal shippers. People formed an attachment to HJP and wanted his happiness no matter the cost. There is nothing toxic about it. Just goes to show how passionately everyone is supporting this one character who is portrayed by even better actor.

This writer has romanticised everything. Even NDS's reason for start up - to turn a misunderstanding into a reality. WTF
