Hero (2002): the movie is divided into thematic/changing POV sections noted by color shifts. Red is associated with the fight scene set in the autumn leaves.
Several of the JFF Theatre selections for May-July 2025 are movies set in and around isolated places including tiny villages. I would suggest the film Nabbie's Love (https://kisskh.at/22820-nabbies-love), set in a rural village in Okinawa, and the documentary The Genealogy of Sake (https://kisskh.at/687139-ikkon-no-keifu), as the breweries seem to be in the middle of nowhere/villages - but I may be mistaken about the latter.
