Title Memories of Murder Spoiler
In the movie there were many suspects but you will never find out who the real killer is, as He was never caught…
The director said he hoped the real killer would be in the theater and that the scene would somehow affect him through that POV. But the killer said it evoked no emotion at all.

nooo he wasn't
No, the criminal was caught more than 15 years after the film's release, and by his own admission, the film didn't stir any emotions in him at all. He was convicted of murdering a relative, and so his DNA was leaked to the police, who later discovered, by chance, during testing, that the maniac was already serving a life sentence for another crime.

For those of you who didn't understand the ending (why the actor looks at the camera and breaks the 4th wall)…
He didn't so much confess as he was caught because his DNA was leaked to the police due to his conviction in another case. By the way, when he was asked about this, he said that he had indeed seen the film, but it did not evoke any emotions in him.

did they catch the real culprit? or it is mystery? let me know
They caught the real criminal 15 years later, because he was sentenced to life for the murder of his daughter-in-law and the police accidentally got hold of a sample of his DNA.

I doubt that anything has changed much, given the current scandals.

Title Retribution
There's a lot of media these days that encourages us to forget the past and move on, so I appreciate this film for deconstructing that.

Everything about the film creates a chilling experience that lingers long after it's over. The clever POV use…
The POV narrative was a reference to the original thread, which was basically a first person story from a certain girl.

I haven't seen such an old-style J-Horror film based on urban legends in a long time. Although, admittedly, many moments were a bit too unintentionally funny.

Title Kisaragi Station Spoiler
wahahahah I knew she lied
I find it hard to believe that Haruna was the first one who didn't sacrifice herself for the girl.

I rather feel that some people simplify any emotion into adoration or hatred.

It was like watching a Korean take on someone's crazy idea of mixing Richie and Anderson in a CITY anime setting.

Because it's a Korean remake of a classic French crime comedy.

This is a Korean crime comedy about a man's struggle to regain control of his life in a world of capitalism and exaggerated patriarchal norms.

Half the film felt like a weird disaster movie shoved inside an apartment complex. It was like filming a movie about a fire in your house while locked in the toilet.

I love how even Korean sci-fi has a retrowave, '80s-inspired soundtrack in 2026. Trends are powerful.

I don't know, for me the first half looks like a low-budget thriller, while the second half has a strong scientific and philosophical basis. The problem with the film is that it's superficial, feeling more like an adaptation of an idea than an adaptation of a story based on an idea.
